Brief Description about Pt. Vinod Kumar Dwivedi
Vinod Kumar Dwivedi has carved a fame for himself as one of the leading dhrupaddhamar exponent of the country. He established his position as a outstanding Singer, Guru,
Composer and Writer in the country as well as abroad. He has been honored by countless
prestigious awards for his powerful and excellent vocal recital in all over the country and as
well as abroad. Pt. Vinod Dwivedi is a senior artist at AIR and Doordarshan in Lucknow. He is also appointed as an expert in committee of CFPGS ( Central Cultural ministry , govt. of india) . He also wrote and composed around 500 Dhrupad, Dhamar, Khayal, Chaturang, Bhajan and Geet based on
lndian Classical Music. He is an ICCR panel artist He is also working as the leading guru of Dhrupad Kendra Kanpur which is curated by Sangeet Natak Academy under which students are learing rare art form Dhrupad without any financial expenditure and fees. He also performed in many
prestigious concerts like Indian embassy (UAE) Dhrupad Mela, Sri Lanka Broadcasting
Corporation, Haridas Sangeet Sammelan, Harrivallabh Sangeet sammelan, Tansen Samaroh Nana Pansey smriti samaroh, Akhil bhartiya sangeet sammelan prayag sangeet samiti and many lCCR programmes in India as well as abroad. He has recorded CDs under the label of Bihan Music, Agi Music, Vidhya Bharti and Sangeet Natak Academy, Pt. Dwivedi not only sings
Dhrupad-Dhamar but also Khayal, Bhajan, Thumri. Geet and Chaturang. He also wrote are
500 composition in Indian classical music including Dhrupad-Dhamar, Khayal, Bhajan, Thumri, Geet, Ghazal and Chaturang. He is also giving free music education to around 160 students who are financially very weak and are living in slum areas. He is doing this noble cause
regularly since last 2 years. Due to his efforts many people are well settled and are upbringing
their families and society
Pt. Vinod kumar dwivedi has been performing and teaching his rare art form
since last 30 years. He had prepared many disciples in various areas of music including
,classical music ,bollywood ,Akashwani doordarshan ,stage performers ,professors at various universities ,colleges and schools . At present many students are learning music under guru shishya parampara . Many of his disciples have won up sangeet natak academy competition , All India music competition by prayag sangeet samiti , and many of them are also getting scholarship from ministry of culture. His Disciples like Ankit tiwari and shivam pathak are also doing really well in the field of bollywood music as a singer and music director.Pt. Dwivedi had also created around 500 badishes in music . including classical and semi classical music which are highly popular between the musicians. He had also performed at various reputed stages all over the India as well as abroad . He had also given his lecture demonstration in various universities in india as well as abroad . At present Pt. Vinod kumar dwivedi serving as director of Ranjana devi sangeet mahavidhyalaya and serving nation through the promotion of indian classical music .
