    With inner capsule can you store 4 Bedchairs in it? 2 beds (70 x 200 or 1 big one 115 x 220) 1 bed (180 x65) and 1 bed ( 152 x 65)?

    how small can this collapse down to? I'm trying to find a nice 2 man bivvy style tent that I can carry strapped to my riding bag on my motorcycle. I'm really hoping to find one that ends up not being to much wider than the bike (around 3.5 ft/1m).

    • @CarpCraftUK
      @CarpCraftUK  Před 3 lety +1

      Hi Shawn, I am currently out fishing until this evening, Im not sure this will be suitable for strapping to a motorcycle as it is huge and on the heavy side. Ill let you know the measurements packed down this evening.

      @@CarpCraftUK I actually was able to find this company's CZcams channel shortly after viewing your video. I found out that the 200 is in fact too wide; however, They make one of the 100 series bivvies that would be just fine as the wife and I could share a couples bunk that will fit inside of it. Thank you for your reply though!

      There is a skull cap and an inner capsule available, I have the inner capsule (check my other video to see this) but no winter wrap like the skull wrap which is available on the smaller tempests.

    i need a divvy with a sewn in groundsheet

    • @CarpCraftUK
      @CarpCraftUK  Před 3 lety

      Hi ayaz, unfortunately the tempest 200 does not have a sewn in groundsheet.

    • @OliverQueen1974
      @OliverQueen1974 Před 3 lety +2

      Going to struggle nowadays as most manufacturers don't make a bivvy with a true sewn in groundsheet due to them being unable to be used in many countries on the Continent because of their camping laws - a bivvy with a non-removable groundsheet is classed as a tent & in France for example, the Garde du Peche will check on public waters & if your groundsheet is not able to be removed, it is classed as a tent and banned for night fishing (that's if it is permitted on the public venue). Closest you will get is a bivvy with a removeable mesh inner capsule that has a groundsheet sewn in to that. As the capsule is removable it gets round the tent issue on the continent. Trakker do make Tempests which will take a inner mesh capsule (I believe there is one available for the Tempest 200).

    • @CarpCraftUK
      @CarpCraftUK  Před 3 lety

      I didn't know about other countries tbh. I have the inner capsule for the tempest 200 and must say I find it great. Gives double thickness when placed on the regular groundsheet and also acts as a second skin so avoids condensation.

  • @user-xy7xt9vf5y
    @user-xy7xt9vf5y Před 3 lety +1

    The 210D Nylon is not worth to put it on such a great frame. I got an V2 Brolly with the same 210D Material and had problems with condensation.

    • @CarpCraftUK
      @CarpCraftUK  Před 3 lety

      I can't say I've had any issues myself, I have used the inner capsule each time though which of course helps, do you have the skull cap on your v2?

    • @user-xy7xt9vf5y
      @user-xy7xt9vf5y Před 3 lety +1

      @@CarpCraftUK didn't used the scull cap on the V2. I changed to the advanced brolly with aquatex fabrics. The best material on the market in my opinion.

    • @CarpCraftUK
      @CarpCraftUK  Před 3 lety

      I agree, nothing beats aquatex. Best material by far.its a shame trakker haven't used it on the 200.

    • @OliverQueen1974
      @OliverQueen1974 Před 3 lety +5

      ALL single skin bivvy's will suffer with condensation including breathable materials such as Aquatexx. I have suffered with condensation on every bivvy I have owned in the past 30 years if used as a single skin shelter & without the groundsheet & with the door zipped up (only in the worst conditions). The reason why breathable materials on bivvy's do not work is that they require a heat source close to the material to "push" the moisture through the micro pores in the material which make it breathable. If the outer of a breathable material is dirty or wet, it cannot breath due to the pores in the material being blocked by dirt or moisture. I 210D nylon is the same as what is used on the V2 brolly which I also own alongside an Aqua Pioneer & unless a wrap/skull cap is used with either, condensation is present if groundsheet is not used (due to moisture from the ground rising) or the doors (& vents on the Pioneer) are zipped up. It is basic physics.
      If Trakker used Aquatexx on the Tempest 200, it would cost triple the price as well as triple the weight.

    Still using the Tempest 200 after two years?
    How is your experience so far?

    • @CarpCraftUK
      @CarpCraftUK  Před 2 lety +1

      Yeh still use now and then. Due to its size I only use it for long sessions or if the pegs are large. The pole elastic has needed replacing a few times, and condensation is pretty bad. If I was looking to buy a large bivvy I’d probably consider other options

      I recently tried a nash titan not sure if it was a T2 or T3 but it was very well built and a perfect size.For me personally I go out alot on my own and it’s only occasionally my partner comes with me so I’d be happy with an extension on the frontier or smaller tempest.but this is not a cheap option unfortunately.
