It seems like most reactor here didn't realize, in order to win the Queen of hearts game, it's absolutely up to Queen to decide. She willing to finish the game just if you are worthy to win.
That's right. Mira's game is the hardest for me because she is a psychiatrist and she knows everyone's background and thoughts in the game and she also knows how to manipulate and break your mental stability. Usagi helped Arisu to comeback and regain his will to live. Mira had no choice but continue to game. They both had alrealy won the game when Arisu said ''game on''
True, the Queen could have killed herself or killed someone else if she wanted to and the game would continue and everyone's visa would pass out. So everyone will die at the end, but since Arisu and Usagi prooved that love exists, the Queen decided they're worthy and should live on, on the place of her.

Mira was so bloody amazing and she's my fav game master. The Actress was unbelievable and she carried this episode. Wish she had more time tho

Joker is a god in manga
The Joker never confirmed that though, he just asked Arisu if he looks like a God or the Devil. Although he's heavily implied to be the ruler of the Borderlands. The Joker's the Intermediator, whose role is similar to Charon (the unnamed ferryman in the manga).
@@iamayanakuzunoha430 the idea or theory is that Joker is the ferryman. They are in the BORDER of life and death. Hence the reason for the 1 minute of their heart not beating a detail. Those who live at the end, gets a second chance

For those who don’t understand the borderland world of the show, it is a comatose like or coma state. Borderland is a state of bordering death. People who have experienced heavy trauma to the brain and fell into a coma in real life and recovered as those shown in the end of the show have reported dreams into which of the outside world penetrated. This means that some people can experience dreams in a coma. Now some be asking why did only the selected characters from the game show up in Arisus dream. Well, the brain is a magnificent system and can do amazing things without us even knowing it - our subconscious. the brain picks up information we may not even pay attention to and stores it. We may not be able to pick up or recall faces but if you were theoretically able to access your subconscious you would be able to remember every face you have seen since you were born. In this case, Arisu laid eyes on all those unique characters in borderland, in real life, before the meteor hit. While Arisu was in the hospital recovering from his injury he had a dream. If anybody recalls Inception, dreams don’t last that long in real time, however, the actual dream Arisu experienced while unconscious felt like days or even months. Every game was a fight for his body’s survival. The people who died in the game died in real life and the people who stayed in the game stayed in a coma in real life until they died in the game. It is also possible for people to stay in the game indefinitely as comas can last years even decades until the individual passes away or wakes up from a miracle. This show explored the brains power and what could be possible. Definitely a plot twist but it’s amazing how it played out.
I know it's like 2 months late, but just in case anyone in the future sees this, I'm pretty sure that it's an actual "limbo" place created by God represented by the joker card.
With the game masters being previous people who chose to stay as a permanent resident until they lose or give up
And if you manage to survive by your will, you'll go back to the real world without any memories of the borderlands
So it's an actual purgatory

Arisu is "Alice" in japanese. He is even used the name Alice while he played his games (go check), Kuina is the Caterpillar Absolem (morphing from men to a beautiful woman=butterfly), like Absolem who smokes a lot, Kuina is always with that thing in her mouth, Aguni is the Wild Rabbit, the best friend of the Hatter, Usagi is Rabbit in japanese, so Usagi is the White Rabbit, who's always running, just like her. (and guess what animal she hunts?...), Chishiya is the Cheshire Cat, sometimes only his face appears, like the cat who appears as a floating head, Ann is the Last Dodo, in Alice, the Dodo helps alice from getting drowned when they first met, as Ann helps Arisu to solve the water/shock challenge, And finally Momoka and Asahi were the twins from the book.
Usagi is "Rabbit" in japanese.

I love Mira Kano (Queen of Heart), She love to troll and fking both the main characters LOL!. At the end of the video Joker card was so epic and love the ominous vibe! Wish They show the Joker that would be so epic!
Since the show never bothered to explain it, there was LSD in the tea, that is the reason of Alice hallucinating, Usagi didn't drink in the manga so she was mentally sound, she stabbed herself in order to get Arisu out of the hallucination. It wasn't just because Mira is a shrink.
I loved the hell out of this show. If it is over, I am happy with the ending. But if they continue, they have to big shoes to fill on what they have done. I heard there is an off shoot of the story they can do but I am no that familiar with it.
The ending was better in the manga and the message of this series was more clear. But its a decent adaptation

I never read the manga before so the twists after twists kept me on edge! The final reveal was mind boggling but so damn satisfying that all of them survived. I was so happy with ending that I watched the last episodes a few times. They really did a great job with the series! The concept of hanging between life and death was such a great concept to explore.

I just realized that EVERYTHING the Queen of Hearts said about Virtual Reality and how it was made by the Aliens to be doing experiments and making deathgames for humans were probaly true!!😆😆
they were not true lol in the manga it was further explained but what is true is the Borderlands is like "purgatory" where souls go when they are in the brink between life and death and if they survive they come back to life if not then they fully die and the Joker represents the "grim reaper" who is in charge of the Borderlands (in the manga he appeared to Arisu but in the live action they didn't include it)

Now, I wonder if they're planning on adapting Alice in Borderland Retry which took place after a Timeskip but considering how short it is, probably not...
There are three ways they can continue the show. Either they do what the Manga did. And show what happened with the cards we didn't see. They could do the boring Alice on border road. Or they can do the sequel with the adult main character. I would prefer the first option

i love what usagi said. She basically said that the reason to live doesn't matter . The answer to the reason of life doesn't matter. What matters is finding answer together with the person u care and love. For usagi, finding the meaning of life and figuring out how to live life with arisu side by side is all that matters.
I love this show but 1 things is getting me it's been very clear you have to collect the full deck of cards to beat the game we got all the number cards the face cards now the joker card showed up but that means there's still 4 cards unaccounted for we haven't seen a single Ace card yet
All the Aces were already crossed off of Hatter's board at The Beach, meaning they'd already been cleared.

The joker card is meant to represent real life, because we have to deal with every aspect of the cards together at once.

Bro i hope they change the ending in this adaptation tbh, this ending is genuinely so bad imo. And it even looks like they set it up for another season, as they cut out the explanation that was in the manga. I really do hope they come up with literally anything else.
Honestly it feels incomplete but, it pretty much is. The Joker is a nod to the manga. The Joker represents a ferryman, a man who carries the dead from life to death. It is meant to represent they are in the BORDER of life and death. Those who live gets a second chance. Hence why the detail “1 minute of your heart not beating” is common
