I don’t understand how that not translating into more sacks for Davis. But Davis is such a great run stopper when he’s in his ZONE

I coach high school football, ( I know it’s not the pros!) but you see it all the time. The players that want to be successful want to be coached hard. Yes, some are there just to hang out, ( and that’s fine) but the ones that want to play beyond high school want to be pushed. I assume it’s the same at every level.

I think if the defensive tackles are getting a solid push then it gives the Edge rushers the option to go inside or out but if the tackles are not getting that shove then the middle is clogged and the edge can go only go around the outside which is easier for the offensive lineman to block. But you would know better than me brother Philly 500
It’s really important and sets up everything around them. When a QB can’t step up in the pocket it gives the edges a much better chance to get home.

I think it’s when he isn’t at the Nova Care that he is worried about. He has to do the right things when at home. Your right they have every thing they need from chefs, to trainers and so on.

Even if both Davis and Carter are 3 down players all year it's the NFL and they're going to get tired & they're going to get hurt and they need the same consistency to be able to plug in and give them breaks during the game and maybe games during the season so I still don't think we are thick enough in our defensive line

Dejean plays all over the place, he is versatile and it dropped him in the draft because teams couldn’t agree how or where to use him. Mitchell is the best pure corner in the draft that’s where he was used at in college. You wonder why? That’s why. It nothing more than that and it’s that simple. Dont make it more difficult than that. If you followed Dejean stuff out of the draft. That’s where the discussion always went. What position is he! Me personally I believe he would be best at safety but can play all those spots. Take advantage of his versatility don’t just stick him on the outsets

Jordan Davis was drafted to be a 3-down player and become an All-Pro in this league. That's what he was drafted for. Anything else is a disappointment
No, he was drafted as an immediate impact run stopper with pass rush upside. The 3rd year is usually when you start to see DTs take form. It's a very difficult position to translate to from college to the pros. And I don't think anybody in the pre draft process was saying that he would be an all pro player... It's hard to become an all pro and there's quite a few very good players in the NFL without an all pro appearance.
