  • The Specialized Stumpjumper Evo needs no introduction. For years it's been gaining in reputation as a master-of-all on the trail, and so pairing it with our new SRAM X0 Eagle Transmission and Code Stealth Ultimate brakes was the obvious choice. This bike is custom painted with references to the Bell X-1, the first plane to break the speed of sound.

I’m still skeptical about removing the derailleur hanger. I’m currently running last gen gx axs on my slash and im interested in this new axs. I feel like theres many pros to removing a derailleur hanger but im still skeptical of being able to put hundreds of pounds of lateral force into a axle mount on the frame. I’m less interested in the effects on the derailleur and more the effects on the frame. The fully module and replaceable derailleur seems expensive but like a necessity that makes the product functional. Im also sure this was tested thoroughly but im still a little worried. The only thing i can do is try and get my hands on it or wait for it to come into the shop and see what’s happening.

It's a new system by SRAM. They come with the new brakes. They're made for a cleaner optic and cable routing. Basically to don't have a messy cockpit. The angle of the brakes is changed too. They say it's for the exact same reasons.

Dear SRAM: I have an ebike and I’ve been trying to give you guys money for more than a week now to buy this and I can’t find parts anywhere. I have a cassette and that’s it but I can’t get the chain ring, the chain or the derailleur. Everybody says they are out until June. You can’t tease us like this lol.

Meh... really nothing special about a bike that needs all the parts removed and shipped to another state for tech service. Couldn't care less about the new "transmission". Would be nice to see SRAM announce direct to consumer service... like the king of the market FOX has already been doing for quite some time.
