Glad to see somebody saving these mobile homes. Plenty of them are abandoned in decent condition after a death. It would be cool to see somebody restore a mobile house that has been sitting for 30 years in a rural area, and then move it to a development area. Lots of desperate couples who want to stop renting.
Put glue on top of the joists to prevent squeaking.
Great channel... thanks for sharing!
"And remember... if it doesn't fit it, probably does." lol!
thank you made me feel confident enough to tackle my remodel project
absolutely love this! there's hope for my '1974' mobile home, there are some soft spots
I recently moved into a trailer and well...the floor are jacked. They're technically stable but i know for damn certain all of it is particle board. This video is gonna be so helpful for future me. Thank you so much.
Then you do the happy crab dance!!! Awesome video. Thank you!🎉❤
Lol😂 nice dance at the end. I have to do this same fix for my mom. Plus I want to install a whole front door/storm door combo so she can open the front door again. Thank you for making it look so simple. I just hope I have no issues.😅
Unbelievably helpful! Thank you so much
OMG, Please don't stop posting...New Subbie.
Thank you, we carpet over our livingroom and a rolled like floor in the kitchen with some dip and soft spots, we just moved in and hopefully this is a fix we can do ourselves soon.
Hello. I just watched this and thank you for the details. I wanted to ask you, how do you figure out what is causing the floor to rot out. My moms home is falling through and no one has fixed the actual problem!! So I’m trying to figure this out and I don’t know where to start.
Great video super helpful thx
Thank you so much for your knowledge.

Great job, love the tap dance old school 🎶👞👞
New sub Thank you.😊
Uh huh. That’s how YOU fix a floor. I cut a little here a little there and hope I’ll eventually get it ready for plywood. I’ll get there though. I appreciate this video. Sounds like I’m on the right track anyway. I was totally disappointed to find my joists are 24” on center not 16. But I’m too old and broken to fix that. If I ever get my kitchen floor fixed I’ll put plywood on top of the pressed wood throughout. Not ideal but it’ll outlast us. Like my buddy Dan says, I’m handicapped not helpless. Thank you for these tips. I’ll be checking out your channel later. Going to make a couple more cuts on my floor now. 🤦🏻♀️
You make it look so easy! Thanks for the great video.
Right? I’m ready to give him my address! I’ve been trying to fix the floor where my fridge goes for over a year! Not fun y’all.
Does the plywood 3 by 4 also work for walls or just floors?
Oh i like this video. What type of layer did you pit in top of the plywood? Did you was able to mach the existing one?
We had to get a little creative since the pattern was discontinued. So we put down a border and went with tile down the hallway (the people who moved in have pets 🙄)
u didn’t remove the old insolation from
floor 😮
It's not necessary. It's just fiberglass and it still insulates. Remember to keep your costs low

What do you mean at 4:25
People will try to find ANY reason to try and talk you down on your price. Don't give them the satisfaction 😉😉

What bout mold mildew and stuff like that becuz my mommas floors are caving in all over and I’m tired of my step dad not doin shit so yea I want to but I want it cleaned of that stuff too ya know not just repair it with nasty shit still there
We are renovating a mobile home & it had 3 (yes 3!) layers of flooring (plywood, particle board & OSB) in some areas, 2 layers in other areas. Also ghetto a$$ shims holding up the toilet because the floor underneath was rotten! It was a NIGHTMARE to remove. But we ripped it all out, repaired some joists & added braces & replaced it the floor. It looks FABULOUS now!
