    I forgot to talk about ergonomics. Both sebenza's are more ergonomic during high pressure cutting tasks.
    From best to worst
    1. Large sebenza
    2. Small sebenza
    3. Pm3

    I’ve got both and prefer the Insingo. In fact if and when I purchase more CRK they will be Insingo equipped. I sure wish you were still making videos Vinny👍🏻

    I know you did this vid 3 months ago but I'm just now watching it, and it really is excellent. Probably one of my favorites you have done. This is a great reference to show people getting into knives and wondering about the advantage of a flatter edge vs a belly. Thanks.

    I like how you had to explain the difference in the design of box knives versus kitchen knives and how that's just not always obvious.

    Nice review. I have edc a small sebenza for about 8 years. They make a fine food knife . Interesting sharpening video.

    All of these guys are making videos TALKING about blade shapes but you make one where you put a ton of effort into actually SHOWING the difference! I seriously appreciate all of the effort. Unfortunately the real truth hurts! There is no best blade shape, only the best for how you USE it. Now I'm back to wondering which blade I will get on my sebenza.

  • @timfrank6632

    So in conclusion which blade shape is better for EDC strictly in your opinion. I really appreciate your videos your “outlook/observations” have defiantly impacted my own research, and purchasing positively. Thank you!

    I am sure that you are very very good at sharpening just by watching you. I used to sharpen by myself. I also used to pay a pro to sharpen for me. Then I purchased a Wicked Edge system and I have never looked back! It is by far much more superior to any type of sharpening that I can do or have anyone else do! I have now sharpened all 47 of my knives in my collection, all with an extreme mirror edge by myself. Everyone asks me where I had it done and they freak out when I tell them I did it. The Wicked Edge does a truly unbelievable job at creating a perfect edge bar none. I wish I were paid to say that instead of paying for the system. They are damm expensive but worth every dollar!!!!

    Would be nice if you try the hose with the knife you reprofiled thin. good test for geometry is push cutting 0.06 or 0.08 sheets of kydex. :)

    I’d like to see a “Why not to convex the apex” video. I bought into worksharp’s claim of “convex edges are best!” when I was brand new to sharpening

      @neroknives1828  Před 4 lety +2

      I can definitely do a video in the future on why you don't want convexed apexes on folding knives.
      I saw you comment with questions about sharpening. This is from my buddy big brown. He did an excellent brake down of free hand sharpening in this video

      With the Convex you are basically sacraficing "edge retention" and apex "sharpness" for a bit more "strength". In my eyes, it doesn`t matter for most knives. For machetes and hatches and stuff I do use a slight convex, but those are impact tools.

    Hey Nero. I was personally disappointed that the new Sebenza 31 replaced the 21. I had hoped the 31 would just be another addition. I had to go hunt down some 21s before they get more rare. I think the lockup on the 21 shows a higher level of craftsmanship and I prefer it quite a bit over the ceramic ball lock on my umnumzaan. Now it seems they no longer make a full size folding knife without the ceramic ball lock. To me this move seems to benefit more the ease of manufacturing than any benefit to the consumer over the sebenza 21. I'd love to get your take on this.

    So is the spyderco military’s sweet spot more or less the entire blade?

    • @neroknives1828
      @neroknives1828  Před 4 lety +2

      Yea basically if you're draw cutting through something it's harder to find a better suited blade. I did a "review" a while ago on the military blade shape.

  • @turing2376

    I would have thought it easier to generate more power closer to the heel of the blade near your hand compared to the tip away from your hand.
