As a technician I feel so validated seeing your reaction to what we do. Nadia displayed a tremendous depiction of who we are and the challenges and rewards we endure.

Same was a vet assistant and I had all the responsibilities of a vet tech
You get treated like crap by the doctors and other staff and you get physically hurt by all the bending , restraints , the bites ,scratches , and all for little pay 💰

I’ve been a vet tech for years and I watch nurse content sometimes because it’s relatable, but it’s definitely nice to see you talk to a vet tech. There’s just somethings that are exclusive to veterinary medicine

Aw I feel like we’re finally being seen! I wish people spoke more about vet techs and everything that we do. We deserve higher pay and respect

One time I sold my cat and the new owner sent me a message saying ,, my cat is making weird noises is he okay? “ and sent me a video of the car purring.

As a veterinary technician student, I’m so happy this has reached 5k people. I would like to say thank you!!! There is nothing more the vet med world needs than exposure to the general public, I love that through nurse john he is helping bring light to the matter though there are so much more that needs to be discussed. Technicians do so much and I would like to continue seeing our career grow and be more commonly recognized for the work we do.

as a vetnurse from russia - im waiting so bad!
we have physical and emotional traumas every fckng day, and then we are payed less than administrators on reception :D
also, here we are called assistents of vet, and actually we have united responsobilities of vettechs and vetnurses - and its so hard and dissapointing, when all you want is to do your job well and right, but its literally impossible under all this resposibilities and constant pressure.
oh, and more vets in future vids please

THIS EPISODE 👏🏻 I cannot say enough good things. I used to work as a vet assistant but now I am a sahm. That job was my favorite job out of all the ones I had. I learned so much and while it was so, so hard some days I truly miss my days at the clinic. Please have this girly back on I need to be validated again 🤣

I feel like he didn’t let her talk enough about difficult situations with patients and owners. In veterinary medicine financially-influenced euthanasias are an unfortunately common thing especially in emergency medicine. I’m sure that a similar situation happens on occasion in human medicine, but humans have insurance and a higher chance of getting the procedures they need where most people don’t have insurance for their animals and don’t have finances prepared for emergency situations or complications. You gave an example earlier about having to spend 8k on your dogs procedure, a lot of people don’t have that and can’t get care credit or credit cards so their dog would have been euthanized all because they are a toothpick. It’s a very devastating situation to go through and it happens way too often. Whoever is reading this, please get pet insurance or at-least have a savings account for your animals. One of the best things you can do is have something like care credit and pet insurance.
