These tanks are so amazing! Love seeing the older guys and the kids all enjoying them. They are a great way to turn a child onto engineering too. My son loves his Tiger, and I use it all the time to talk with him about tech and engineering, history, etc. He soaks it up and I love that time with him.
Those kids will be rank gods when they grow up. They’re that young and are fascinated by tanks.

On the grass that is the only thing that gives away that it is a model
Some great rc models there (loved the replica Elephant with smoke coming out the side - obviously reproducing the look of it going on fire, as happened with so many of them in reality lol).
Some good audio reproduction too (although the Elephants real petrol-electric sound must be pretty much unknown - & unknowable? - these days).
The Elephant was a front engine design, possibly the smoke is simply coming from an exhaust system mounted somewhere "amidships"?

I do love tanks it cool that there is shows for it even i didnt know the tanks exsited in rc form so grate.

Watching the Tiger II (King Tiger) cross that bridge I was thinking that I wouldn't go near that thing after that (IRL) till it was surveyed! There is a fascinating book at 'The battle of the bulge' called 'those damned engineers' which talks about the U.S. combat engineers who STOPPED the German advance several times by eliminating nearly EVERY bridge big enough hold the Konig Tigers (at one point there was ONE BRIDGE big enough to take them!).

The eight wheeled LAV is just incredibly detailed, wonderful job on that, but the effect of the super detailing is overshadowed by the sound and speed, it moves and sounds like a whiny rc race car, kind of spoiling the effect of an otherwise excellent scale build
there are r/c tanks out there with TURBINE JET ENGINES so these aren't the best but they are cool!
And that was the day little Billy became a tanker.
looking forward to when Nano tech meets RC tech...then those little figurines will move instead of looking like mannequins….other than that really cool video

Wish there was some way to steady the gun's barrel so it doesn't wiggle continuously when the tank is in motion. Take all the reality out of it.

these tanks are friggin huge. what is the scale?
probably 1/10 or 1/12
Most of them are 1/6th scale and the panther at the end is a 1/4th scale! The king tiger 1/6 is 210 pounds! Some models get REALLY heavy! Mark-1-Tanks is the name for these beast and he is the one helping the old man load his tiger at the end. Very nice and helpful guy. Also you will pay very well for these models hahahah. I just bought a king tiger from mark and now waiting while he upgrades it and camo!! Can’t wait for the KT to be here in the USA 🇺🇸!!!
Smaller ish ones are about a 1/8 like the tiger in the back of the car but the bigger one like the panther and the t34 would be 1/4 which cost around $3000 to $7000
Camden Ernst my 1/6 king tiger by mark 1 tanks was 7400. I’d hate to see the 1/4 price!! I did see 1 time a 1/4 king tiger for sale few years back for 13k
Now if they fired paint balls I'd be buying one !

The biggest flaw in the world of model tanks is the “ wiggly barrel syndrome “ . Proper photographing would make you think these are real till you see the barrel bouncing like a rubber snake . What’s up ?
I think it's largely a result of attachment, real tank barrels are of course attached to very heavy gun breeches and have stabilizers etc, and the tendency might be to regard these scale vehicles similarly when in fact these largely are simply attached to the front of a raising/lifting mechanism, not extending very far into the turrets, and so have no real means for stabilization, that's my take anyway
ive got 1/2 scale m1 abrams that runs a gas tomcat motor with a electric turret drive and custom exploding smoke shells. the whole thing costed around $2100 US dollar

these tanks are massive, at one point couldnt compare the scale of the RC tank to real one until a human stepped in and clarified the scale. call these car-pullers.

Are the names of these tanks & manufacturers anywhere so I can buy one?
The best ones are here www.armortek.co.uk/ in 1/6 scale with scale armor.
There are a few other makers in 1/8 and 1/16th scale but the armortek are the kings. There is also a 1/4 scale maker that you should fine if you google 1/4 scale rc tank. Big $$$ there tho.
