Might be modular but the reliability of the electrics is poor and I understand that you now need PSA / Stelantis's permission to do some programming work on later models.
And having had 2 main dealers refuse to sell me a part or sell me the code to my car so I can go secondhand and do it myself I'm never buying another PSA group car again.

I've looked after loads of apprentices over the years. 9/10 have worked out great, done their 4 years day release at College and still work in industry now. The hard part is finding stuff to keep them busy for the first couple of years when their still learning the basics, but they usually get better bit by bit over time. There's no harm in having them watch what your doing like you said and hopefully they'll ask loads of pertinent questions. I always try to explain to them the principles behind why we do things how we do, rather than just showing them how to do a 'task' so if something is different next time they can understand how the system works rather than just remembering what i showed them last time to fix it. In return they get less resentful about doing some of the housekeeping stuff that they'll inevitably have to do at some point. Some people are just better and more patient teachers than others, so I don't think blaming 'kids of today' or whatever is true at all, the one's with bad attitudes shouldn't get through the interview.

I think that wiring diagram is wrong, K-Line goes to the radio and several other modules, as well as the CAN gateway. As the A4 platform got continued on for a while, later cars had more CAN, but the 2002 will still be predominately K-Line for diagnostics. On a 2002 TT Roadster it goes to Instruments (J285), ABS (J104), Climate (E87), ECM (J220), Airbag (J234), Central Locking (J429), Radar Interior Monitoring Control Module (G303), Range Control (J431), Haldex (J492) and the Radio (R).

No way are they easy I’ve got a 2012 citreon c5 with a heater issue so far it’s had a new blower motor and the control resistor that goes in the side of the heater. When you first start the car you can control the heater blower speed then it defaults to a fixed setting and you can’t turn it off. The coder reader is saying it’s the heater motor but it’s a brand new motor and I’ve tested the old one and it’s not drawing many amps same as the new one. So I disagree with there easy fix.
