Vibrant Ombre with Transparent Glitter Sugaring - Wishing it was Springtime!

Today we’re going to be creating another sugared nail but this time with an ombre effect. This creates a beautiful shimmering look.
First we’re going to create the ombre by putting the first colour half way on the tip and the second colour on the base of the nail. Use an ombre brush, gently wiping from side to side to blend the two colours and cure the nail. Repeat this to make the colour opaque.
Next, mix Superfine Glitter and Clear Acrylic Powder to create the ‘sugar’ and cover the nail with the mixture. Tap off the extra and cure the nail. Cure the nail and brush off any leftover powder. Apply cuticle oil without touching the nail and you’re done.

Thank you for showing me what I've been doing wrong with sugar nails. I tried a top coat and rhinestone glue, but the glitter came right off. Now that I knew how to do it right, I can't wait to try it again! Your nail was gorgeous btw

Oh Wow I didn't know there was even a step missed until I read the comment, I was just in awe of how sparkly and colorful it was and how I'm FREEZING my Tuchas off here in the Southern U.S. we don't get much snow and if we do it melts the next day we also get a lot of Freezing rain and that's a Disaster with a Forrest State that I live in. Hey have you seen all the Video where people are recreated Bob Ross Paintings from recreating it with Makeup on your face to other stuff. It would be awesome that Kirsty done a recreation with one nail or 4 to complete a actually picture. I know it'll be a breeze for her because she so brilliant.

As much as I disliked yesterday's design, I LOVED this one! It is absolutely gorgeous! I will definitely be getting some superfine iridescent white glitter very soon! I had been wondering if it was possible to do a gradient with gel polish in this manner and now I know that I can!

Got onto your website to check out your prices and I was blown away at how good they were until shipping.... It would cost me around 35 bucks to ship 1 bottle of nail polish to the u.s.. Understand this isn't your fault just sucks because I would love to have your polishes nail powders and so much more but wont see me paying that much to ship 1 item

It would be a good way to get a mat finish if the glitter was left out. I have a super hard time keeping mat finishes mat for more than an hour.
my daughter loves my little pony and she seen the video of the my little pony nails set.she wanted to see you do a nightmare moon nail which is her favorite character.it would make her ecstatic to see a nightmare moon nail.
How does it stick so well if it's cured already? The tacky layer holds it that good? And how do you prevent the ombre from looking streaky?
She does 2 coats, the first which she cures, the second which she does not and she puts the mix on the nail then she cures.
I think the cure indication was put by mistake!
She forgot to add, that she adds a no wipe top coat, sprinkles on the powder, then cures x
Don't know if you guys saw, but the top coat step got skipped in the video. You top coat and don't cure until after it's sugared. The sticky layer from a gel wouldn't hold the sugar like this does, and it would last until you washed your hands.

Let's do different colors of gradients. Like red gradient, rainbow, blue, pink, odd mashed ups colors. Watercolor gradient. With that sugar look. I agreed with Adam about doing the night sky.

I'm curious about this as well, I was thinking it's for added strength, or maybe to help the glitter stay longer?
Whilst the glitter is semi-transparent, if you sugared the nail with glitter only, it would cover most of the colour. Also, Kirsty only wanted a slight sparkle but wanted texture, so the clear acrylic mixed with the glitter dust gives you both. A x

Did you apply a no wipe topcoat to apply the sugar mix onto? Because if you apply it to the sticky layer of the gelpolish, it won’t last or am I wrong? 🤔

The shimmer yes, but if you top coat it, you would lose the sugared effect.

Hola! I love love love your work. I have learned so much from you. Thank you. My question is does it matter which color you put first for the Ombre effect. Like bottom first & top second or top first & bottom second?
Wilsa Gerena I’ve wondered that too because I’ve seen it kinda done both ways. I think it matters which color you want to be the last layer so to speak. I’ve mainly seen it done with the top portion (the color applied to the tip) first then the nail bed/cuticle area and proceed to keep layering to your desired affect.
Wilsa Gerena but then again it I think matters mainly on the technique you want to use at the time. There’s so mainly different ways to do ombré’s.

Does the glitter come off without a top coat? It's beautiful.
The glitter is sealed in the cured topcoat.
Actually it stays nicely.I have it on my toenails minus the acrylic though.
