I bought a 2021 Toyota Corolla Hatchback Xs. It was a Demo vehicle with 10 000km. It came with smash and grab tinted windows, etc. I took the demo as the the new car was R45k more expensive. Something you forgot to mention. When you buy any car from a dealership, there is a delivery fee. This fee includes a complete detail and repair any scratches there might be on the car.
6 months later and still no complaints😁

What I know is that you can negotiate yourself out of paying a delivery fee. I personally feel like dealerships are ripping consumers off with hidden costs. I do consume a lot of automotive content here on CZcams and other auto youtubers do suggest that the best way to negotiate your price down is starting with delivery fee.

@@Lesiba2 I fully agree! They were charging R6000 for delivery fee and I negotiated for R4500. I do however believe that if I negotiated better, they would not have charged me for it. It also depends how long a car has been with the dealership, if it's been a few months and the car still not sold, they would be more generous to disregard delivery fees.

Even the price on the new cars is just a recommended price. You can pay less if you know how to negotiate.
