- Had the idea for a while and we were learning about audio postproduction in school so I thought I'd use what I've learned to make this.

As someone who is currently wearing an Outer Wilds Ventures t-shirt, I declare that everyone should play this game at least once. It’ll only take them 22 minutes, after all.
What are you talking about, it took me multiple hours of therapy as well
@@MylesMarrero talking about the loop time but honestly yeah that game destroyed me in the best way.
Agreed.
I keep trying to get people to play this absolute masterpiece. Not an easy sell given you can't actually talk about it.
@@amolbhatia1449 exactly.
this is something Feldspar would do
HGAHAHAHAHAHAHA
That station just got Feldsparred

VELOCITY MATCHED.
@@ehrensto INITIATING SPIN!
Man, more people should play Outer Wilds. Such a masterpiece.
The only shitty part about the game is you can only play it once, because once you know you know. god i wish i didn't know anymore
@@VeryBadPlayerTV just don’t think about it then in 10 years you won’t remember
@@BumlinsDrinkWater yeah good luck not thinking about the best experience of your life for 10 years
why do people praise it so much, it's not *that* good
@@12sleep23 it was to me dude, it was to me
I don't think I've had a more existential emotional experience with any piece of media than the ending of Outer Wilds. The whole game generally is one of the single most unique games I've ever played and the mystery is one of the most well crafted ones I've seen. The world is fleshed out to the fullest, every piece perfectly connects with every other. The camping in the woods art style gives ut the perfect emotional grounding and contrast to the terrors, thrills and wonders of space. The gameplay is an increadibly well excecuted example of a very rare type of gameplay. The amount of increadible "Ah-hah!" moments the game gave me couldn't be counted, and every one was such an amazing feeling of connecting the dots. And all that's without even mentioning the music!
But obviously not everyone will have this extreme a resonance with it, I did though ::)
This whole scene reminds me of trying to land on sun station. Using the suns gravity to try and put yourself into orbit but not too close or else you get pulled in. One of the best things in gaming once you finally get it right
funny you should mention that, there is a similar video out there that mixes footage of said docking, as well as the docking scene from Interstellar, with "no time for caution"... :p
wait i just used the warp station to get there lol
it could be the deepest memory of this game for me! I spent an afternoon to do this.
Funny I didn't visit ash twin only ember twin when I went for the sun station. So I did this to get there, and only visited ash twin towards the end of the game along with giants deep. I really enjoyed the way I experienced the game.
I love how at 3:35 the Outer Wilds music joins with the organs from the Interstellar track. Also 2:40 onwards is like going through Dark Bramble with the warp core. This is seriously good shit.
Aaaaaand now I want either a Zimmerfied Final Voyage or mix of Interstellar and Outer Wilds ost
I haven't seen Interstellar, so I was thinking "holy cow, there's a version of Final Voyage with PIPE ORGANS in it!? Like it couldn't get any more epic!"
That organ in the end is real cool touch
Even after reading this comment, I thought the original OST just happened to mesh with the Final Voyage. I was STUNNED to hear the organ playing the End Times theme... then I rewatched it like three times
favorite space movie with favorite space game, this is art
I was on edge the whole time. The station they were docking with kinda looked like the sun station from a certain view.
@@pyton1d752 no doubt, but in Outer Wilds you have infinite lives. The tension of having only one chance in Interstellar is palpable.
@@FarhadHakimov
I mean, the palpable "You have only one shot" in Outer Wilds is getting with the core to The Vessel.
But still- it's a game and you can have a retry (reseting the whole game after you broke space time or died with ATP inactive wiuld be interesting... But also evil towards the player)
my ears are in heaven
I've seen one streamer landing on the sun station, here's the clip with Interstellar soundtrack to add up the epicness of the moment
czcams.com/video/sr4TsvsWW70/video.html
Yeah, like how, once you match speeds and rotation with the station, it appears to be stationary with the whole universe outside spinning around wildly.
can we talk about how fricking cool it is that for the final test in outer wilds this music plays constantly as a reprise of the original end times theme? its so cool
I don't remember where I saw this but someone once said "End Times walked so that Final Voyage could run."
@@TaHoMasWilliams yep. it wouldnt hit nearly as hard if (like me) we hadnt grown so used to that song meaning we're about to die.
so when you hear final voyage, you know shits about to go down.
@@CyynapseDude on the final leg of the journey when I heard that playing I was like fuck I gotta haul ass from here, only after I got to the Eye did I finally feel kinda relaxed
wow the addition of the organ at the end is insane
I'm not musically literate, but man the repeated three notes in rapid succession along with what I could only interpret as vocals is just so touching I could mistake it as spirituality. This music is layered so perfectly and I just love taking the time and listening to each individual layer and just focusing on everything that Andrew Prahlow wanted to communicate.
I like how, if interpreted as a person, the song "Final Voyage" would be hyperventilating at around 1:35, then holding their breath when in "that" place in the original game, letting you listen out for anything undesirable, then going back to hyperventilating when you are at the final stretch with moments left.
Being somewhat vague, so people can play the game for themselves (Outer Wilds is a game that is VERY sensitive to spoilers, and is truly a once in a lifetime experience. So spend that first time experiencing the game by yourself, you will understand somewhat quickly. Sidenote : A common complaint is that the game doesn't tell you where to go, but that's the thing, *you* decide where to go, based on breadcrumbs the game leaves to help point you in a direction. If you feel frustrated, go somewhere else and come back later, you may figure something out to help you at that location.)
@@shibainu2528 i never realized that, mustve added to what was likely the most intense anxiety ive felt in my entire experience with videogames when i got to that moment
If I remember my phrasing right, that's what you'd call a half-arpeggio. Most arpeggios go down, then up, or the opposite- in this case, it starts high and goes down in pitch before reseting at the high point. Kinda like reseting on Timber Hearth at the beginning of every loop... Andrew Prahlow is a genius.
Now there should be a Sun Station landing scene with Not Time for Caution. Something tells me, there is already.
I hope game composer sees this and see how people appreciate his work by replacing it with Hans Zimmer's. Amazing, truly amazing.
Vice versa
@@AlternateRealityMusic Ye, Hans Zimmer also should feel honored that people are replacing Andrew Prahlow's amazing score with his in some OW edits.
you had me perplexed when the orchestral version of the Final Voyage hit on 3:35
Interstellar is one of my favorite movies (saw it in theaters not expecting much, ended up loving it) and I was thinking of it nonstop the whole time I was playing Outer Wilds. This scene with this music feels like something that was always meant to happen.
Love how both this and docking on the sun station to no time for caution both work super well
FUCK YEAH THE ORGAN VERSION OF FINAL VOYAGE AT THE END HELL YEAH FUCK YEAH
Final Voyage fits it's purpose so damn well
This little maneuver is gonna cost us 22 minutes.
This is the best CZcams recommendation I’ve to date. Two things I love, my favorite movie and a top 3 game for me.
Just when I thouht I had worn out the goosebumps from this scene and the music this video comes along and makes me feel them all over again
This mixes together my two favourite things in the entire world. I cannot thank you enough for this
When my brother was trying to dock and was struggling hardcore, I'd always play 'No Time for Caution' from this movie. It was hilarious.
I did not expect the organs at 3:35. That was fantastic!
Pretty dope. I will say I think the original music is more fitting but this does give me the chills lol
OMG THIS WORKS SO WELL!!!
Great stuff ! These two universes merge once again after hearing No Time for Caution during my attempts to land on the Solar station !
1:10 As soon i heard the music i knew It, THEY HAD THE WARK CORE
After those organs started my cursor gravitated unstoppably to the Like button
That organ is just perfect.
The one way to make it better is to add the ticking clock, other than that, this is excellent
Damn this works so well put together good job this literally could be in the movie
CZcams is getting really comfortable with these ads
Yeah that would be Warner Bros doing that on this particular video. They own Interstellar
ublock origin, my good sir
this scene hits so much harder with the ow ost.
One of the best movies with the music of the best game of all time? Hell yeah!
*Going into dark bramble passing the angler fish*
TARS: Cooper, there's no time for caution!
Damn, that video shows my(or i guess pretty much everyone else's) emotions when on finale of Outer Wilds and know what must be done next...
Absolutely incredible. I'm so glad I stumbled on your video! Combining two amazing pieces of art
Outer Wilds is a gosh dang MASTEPIECE!
You can kinda replicate this docking scene by landing on the Orbital Probe Cannon using the landing mode. Would have been cool if you can knock it out to spin like the Deep Space Satellite though 😄
such an amazing game man
This video is pure goosebumps
I love this! Great work
I got goosebumps watching this!
stunning!
Got goosebumps, so good
Well, off you go into my "Actually Good Videos" playlist.
this is one of the best and most impressive things i saw in my life :)
how tf is this impressive
@@Johnald26 I'm not going to say why, because anything you say about Outer Wilds can be considered a spoiler, but if you played the game you should know.
arrepiei tudo quando começou a tocar
This is so silly and awesome, thank you 😂
Y'know when I start Echoes of the Eyes and discovered The Stranger, the first thing my boyfriend said was "it's like the planet from Interstellar".
So it's kinda funny I found this video combining elements of two.
I can see where he's coming from but I personally thought it looked like Halo.
@@TaHoMasWilliams he doesn't play Halo. My ex got me into Halo and I actually thought the same when I first saw it lol.
Please release the pipe organ version separately its fucking awesome
You're not the first to request it. I'm planning on creating a whole thing but still trying to figure out how to make it interesting for more than 4 measures...
@@TaHoMasWilliams normal "rework soundtrack to score" task. :)
Best of inspiration!
this is amazing
Beautiful
I was this video in my recommendations but I knew I would get spoiled watching it before having watched Interstellar.
Well, now in order I have watched the Movie first and it was totally worth it for this video, if not the movie was good enough. God I love Interstellar and I love Outer Wilds.
that was so hype ngl
Recommendations brought me here
I've seen Sun Station docking with No Time For Caution enough times, it's only natural that the inverse should exist
Woah! I got goosebumps!
That worked... perfectly!
POV: You are trying to get the Hotshot achievement.
Interstellar really fucked me up when I watched it, so did Outer Wilds
He could've just held A but whatever gets the job I guess
Its good
When that organ hit though 🥲

How the song is modified at the end. My god.
Recorded over the song with a vst pipe organ. Luckily End Times isn't too hard to play on keys.
Oh thanks! Sorry what I mean is that the result is just amazing. For me the game and this movie are totaly linked. Thanks for creating it.
@Static Ball unfortunately I deleted the file to make more room for other projects. Sorry.
@Static Ball sorry 😢
Admit, just fucking admit it, you yelled "AND FOR OUR NEXT TRICK" after landing on Sun Station for the first time.
Wtf i just tought of this yesterday and it does exist lol

where can I listen to that song with the organ?
At the moment this is it. Recorded that myself using a midi organ in Pro tools. However I'm thinking of arranging a full thing with it.
ok, now put the theme of this part of the movie but trying to land in the solar station
Other people have already made it
can somebody telll me what interstellar is rated so i can watch it
Pg-13
lines up
in this 4 minutes, 22 minutes had pass
Honestly, interstellar music fits seamlessly with Outer Wilds, but I can't say the same vice-versa
Mind elaborating about what doesn't fit? From my perspective based on both projects themes being similar they tend to line up more than not.
Fat disagree
Where the fuck did you get the organ version? It's *heavenly*
Made it myself in Pro tools. Just used a vst.
@@TaHoMasWilliams ever plan to release it separately?
@@zachrabaznaz7687 I hadn't until today. Might explore a pipe organ end times thing

Holy fucking christ... th... fuck me.
FAAAAAAACk I'm crying.
Oh yeah, das it mane
Should we have OW the movie?
Outer Wilds is as good as it is because it uses the unique narrative qualities of video games to their fullest. It really wouldn't work as a movie, unless you want it to be the mc reading for 2 hours lol
