my wife drives a 2021 NX 300 fsport. i traded in my 2019 charger scat pack for a 2023 Nx 350 fsport because i loved her car so much. so there's that...

Hey, Brian! Why can’t the reviews cover the more affordable NX’s? I keep seeing the ones for F Sport and Luxury models. I was hoping to find a review here on a regular NX 350, but not the base model. I need to hear about the performance and handling on a model within my budget. I trust your reviews b/c you know cars and have driven quite a variety of vehicles.
Thanks, appreciate it. I generally comes down to what manufacturers make available and they typically only use mid trim and top trim models.
I opted for the NX250 because I didn’t want or need the turbo nor the AWD, and I wanted the 18 inch wheels for the better ride quality. I’m very pleased. My only beefs are the ride flat tires (and no spare on board) and, believe it or not, lack of a cd player!
No new cars come with CD players any more. Old tech-very old.
I also am not happy there’s no CD player too. You are not alone! Enjoy your new NX! Hoping to enjoy one some day myself!!
What’s the main difference between the f sport with and without?
The FSport has more horsepower and adaptive suspension. Also looks 3 times better and aggressive. FSPORT seats with FSport steering wheel, wheels, foot pedals, and blacked out exterior accents. Plus Sport plus mode

How would you compare the NX350 to the Mazda CX5 signature trim ? Do the differences worth the higher cost if the luxury badge is not important ?
Funny. I just finished with the CX-5 Signature. The Mazda is more engaging for drivers.
I bought a 2023 Mazda cx5 signature in fall and traded it for this 2023 Lexus 350 premium trim. The Mazda was nice but the interior space was just a bit too tight. I also didn’t like that I had to use the rotary knob as it doesn’t have the touch screen. it also had wired car play instead of wireless. I love my lexus. It’s got more space and the tech and looks are exactly what I was looking for. I took a little hit on trade in but it was worth it to me.

My car has gone up in RE-SALE 13K after I drove it off the lot because everyone wants the JAPAN built NX 450h+ "F" Sport and None are available...Econ 101!

I went from a 2017 CX-5 GT to 2024 NX 350 Fsport. Stay away from the CX5. I babied my car, did all services and at 70K miles, the rear diff went. Apparently this is common with these cars. Also, the NX is in a totally different league. Oh yea, my CX5 also started to rust and I live in Vancouver. Not exactly a winter heavy area. The rust appeared near the tailgate hinge on top of the roof. Never again. No more Mazda for me.
To add to all this, when you drive, Mazda touch ability on the infotainment is totally disabled because Mazda thinks you're too stupid to drive and operate your vehicle at the same time. So if you're on the freeway and need to enter destination co-ordinates into your navi, you have to pull over to the side of the freeway. Utterly idiotic. I never hated any of my cars as much as I hated the CX5.
Clunking noises from the joints... meh. They want to play in the big leagues but they're far from being ready.
My wife wants to replace her Evoque with this(based on looks). So does it drive well. She sometimes can get into her rally driving mode...lol especially when she cornering hard. Also did u get the one with the upgraded premium sound system, if so how does it sound, thanks!
I covered the dynamics thoroughly in this episode, have her watch that segment. IIRC, this didn't have the top sound system, but it was pretty decent regardless.
I had one of these, drove it for a year and traded it for a BMW X3. Its a nice car, very well appointed interior, nice exterior looks. Why I didn't keep the car was two reasons, one was the engine noise, he mentions it here but I think it was understated just how loud it is under acceleration. It's a pig even with the turbo. It sounds like a cheap 4cyl struggling to move this very heavy car, for a luxury vehicle I found this unacceptable. The other reason was the handling, the heaviness of the vehicle really shows when turning or cornering, it felt like work trying to keep the body roll under control. Looks wise, technology and price, the two cars are comparable, but when it came to performance and ride quality the X3 was hands down just a better vehicle.
@@iverr6 what engine in the X3 and is it reliable. Use to have a 135i and the n55 engine had rod problem.
@@Joe-eg7ml It has a 4cyl turbo making about 248hp. Its very quite and responsive. BMW has had some problematic engines in the past, but I think that has been addressed by BMW and from what I had read this is a very reliable engine now. It came in third place for reliability behind Toyota and Lexus even beating out Honda. So im guessing its as reliable as any car out here these days, if not better.

You should have gotten the far and away better model! " The 450h+ "F" Sport gets 89 miles per gal in hybrid drive and regular gas with 89 Octane.

Hi, did you get used to the engine noise? I test drove the NX with no problems. I brought my husband back to test drive it & he thought it was noisy and rode a little rough. Would switching the run flat tires out with regular tires help with this? Thank you!
Yes and this Lexus absolutely does not ride rough.
GET the aforementioned 450h+ "F" Sport whisper quiet on elec only....Never buy freak'n gas.......No Wear N' tear on ICE /engine?maintenance and did I mention QUIET!!!...change those freak'n run flats NOW to Michelin's...End of Story!

Next you’re going to tell me that a torsion beam suspension is an inferior design.
These trims are not available anywhere lexus is building the cars one way give or take a few options but it's not available anywhere this way.
My test car must have been a trim of my imagination.

It is popular to comment that the CVT is not as good. I have had CVT cars since 2005, and my opinion is that CVT is the best. You just have to learn to use the gas pedal correctly.
I'm a racing driver. I might know how to use a throttle pedal. Enjoy your CVT!

Wrong !!! the NX 450H= "F" Sport is very quicK to 60 in 5.5 however, I only use elect. and no gas as such the Torq! is exceptionally quick and the 450h+ has adaptive suspension :

Was only available in Smog compliant states i.e. Calif & Florida....and then VERY very Limited, so econ 101 makes this car go up in price (if you can find one!, especially the "F" Sport 450h+). All wheel drive woth adaptive suspension: Unlike 98% of vehicles where you loose your Proverbial when you drive them off the lot. So, " ~*~*~*RUN Do-Not walk to the NX 450h+ "F" Sport! ... . I own the Lexus 2022 450h+ F sport. Elegant and refined!.....Note the Heads Up display on the windshield W/8” & 14” Info on Dash board with Crystal Clear display on both, alone makes the Lexus better........Mine is In Atomic Silver Glows in the Sun Light with Lil" grey / Gold metal flake" and same Circut Red interior.. but with Electric battery...Has 306 Horse power 0 to 60 in 5.6 sec (Via Road and track at drag strip!.) ** BIG NOTE: This model DOES- NOT have a TURBO...But rather, a Naturally aspirated / Carb...........(important because it is well known that TURBOS stress engines)...SEE: czcams.com/video/_xYnXRqheoI/video.html ...ON Turbo issues = Very Bad!..... MY 450h+ has gone up in value $17K at this writing!. FAR better built than Euro's (mine built in Japan) sadly, new releases are now being made in Canada! Canada is Union Shop, Like USA Union shops...no one gets fired.... for a hang over and bad work??? maybe)..... However, Lexus is Far more reliable...Far better Re-Sale that Euro beemers or mercedes (Check Engine Light Gucci headache) .!... IF YOU CAN FIND ONE ANYWHERE do grab it!......"econ 101 / Supply & Demand" .....Has (3) elec. motors gett'n 0 to 60 in 5.6 sec (road and track) HIGH torque QUICK out of Hole!......~*~*Never EVER have I used gas * but highly comforting to have the option..... gett'n 47+ miles per 120 Volt charge (real world driving my experience.)....Almost Silent operation in elec....So do your research, PLEASE......as this is Far better than any European beemer, mercedes and korean etc. All those are depreciating the moment you drive off the lot & simple oil change / maintenance are extremely costly. The aforementioned Euros …....And are UNRELIABLE and get BAD Gas Mileage to say nothing of the: GAS HOG unproven G 70, & RDX not worth mentioning. Z Best of the BEST F Sport 450h+ ! ….One more thing, Jus' a heads up!......My wife drives the RX 2020 model...Consider putting Michelin's at $1000.00 0n / @ ebay deal is out the door and balanced......... on your NX 450h+ F Sport............ replace the Idiot Run Flats that the dealer wants a $1200.00 extra for warr because like me, You WILL eventually get a flat and the Run your WALLET Flats are required to replace??? are you freak'n kidding????....Michelin's primacy same size &......Far and away EVEN a much smoother ride, Shissh, Do Not tell my wife ...even smoother than her 2020 RX 350....because My "F" Sport has the added "Adaptive Suspension" along with lower center of gravity because of Large battery centered Low...+ Soft no roll stabil ride, Much better ride than the HARD Run Flat Bridgestones that come stock. I Carry a Batt. quality inflator ( DeWalt 20V MAX Corded/Cordless Air Inflator ) and string tar impregnated rope insert-er and Do-Not wait for AAA. Consider Use in Only Plug -in and a Hybred NOT a All electric Automobile!.........Using All electric YOU MUST consider YOUR Consider all the above insight, using a Credit Card to Open doors, start the car and monitor via phone app... & and You WILL Have the Best of the Best in the Lexus 450h+ “F” Sport and reflect having a Sophisticated, Elegant & classy platform as well! This vehicle has gone up in price approx. &17K+ at this writing, since I bought it! @ that increase in value what is the downside? ...Additionally the Korean CRAP!...Genesis,...... @@BrianMakse Didn't know that. The NX350 or NX350 hybrid are the models I would look at. Don't like 20" tires, run flats, or panoramic moonroofs. Also the rear seats are small for a rear facing baby seat. While it has some similar problems I'm now looking at the Mazda CX50 turbo (an upper trim) instead.

I had a 2022 NX 450h+ and a 2023 450h+ Luxury and BOTH SUCKS and doesn’t looks spot at all, to claim you have a spot suv and the suv doesn’t have at least 265/45/20 front tires and 295/40/20 on the back you can’t say you have a spot car, and the NX 450h+ Sound System COMPLETELY SUCKS, suspension and seats SUCKS as well for 73k dollars out the door???? I traded the NX for Porsche Macan for 75k with 8Year/80k miles warranty… I will NEVER NEVER WANT TO DRIVE A LEXUS EVER EVER AGAIN!!! I keep my Rav4 which is basically the same as the NX but with. WAY WAY BETTER SOUND AND MORE COMFORTABLE and hold the value way more as well..

The Macan is just a Q5 underneath.
