hi lads, im getting into these cards and i want footy ones. what are the best boxes for around 100 pound? and are the autographs real?
Hey Josh! Thanks for taking the time to comment, nice to hear you’re getting into the hobby, that’s great! The cards in this video are ‘Topps Now’ uk.topps.com/collections/topps-now-uk which are cards from a specific game or event that have recently taken place, they’re on sale for a limited time (usually 1 week!) and are usually around £8-9 per card depending on how many you buy.
In terms of a product around £100, If you want some value for money I would recommend a Team set, these are usually around £55 each and contain 1 Player Autograph or player worn/used memorabilia, they have several teams across the big leagues, like Man City, Arsenal, Chelsea, PSG, Barcelona. uk.topps.com/ you can search ‘Team Set’ on the Topps website to see the ones still available. The Juventus Team set is a great option, it's a little bit more pricey at £85, but does give you, one Guaranteed Auto and one Relic/Auto Relic. So a chance at 2 autos per box. Me and Nick opened some of these recently and had some great results!
These Team sets don’t have many cards however, usually you’re looking at around 36 cards. But the benefit is the guaranteed Autograph/Relic. If you want more volume then a set like this would be good dacardworld.eu/en-gb/products/2022-23-topps-uefa-club-competitions-soccer-hobby?variant=46691198239056 Which gives you 192 cards to collect but no guaranteed auto.

one more question haha, do you ever acctually make profit on these? i just dont wanna waste money. if its a good pull im more than likely gunna keep it. but you can get some good cards cant you?
Me and Nick did actually open that box! Personally I think Topps x Whip Gold, is a bit overpriced, the checklist for the set (www.topps.com/media/amasty/amfile/attach/abRZahCvf2DhMtmEyAD99qj1crNCLZSX.pdf) doesn't really justify the £100-120 price in my opinion. Especially as the box contains players from all the Euro competitions, like the Conference League and Europa League, which while still good, won't get you much return if you hit a player from those leagues on your auto.
The design is a plus for this set, it looks great, but the cards are a little flimsy, and don't quite have the resell potential as maybe a Topps Chrome set, which is more sought after.
If you wanted the most value, and potential for return I would buy 2x Manchester City Team set boxes for around £100 as the players they have on average will have higher values.
Or if you definitely wanted an autograph, maybe this set pcommandocards.co.uk/products/2022-23-panini-prizm-soccer-choice-hobby-box
as it's Prizm (which tends to hold value) and also a premier league set, the only downside is you're only getting 8 cards here, but most of the boxes base cards aren't worth a great deal anyway, so you'd be sacrificing quantity for potential quality. But please do your own research on these boxes before you make any decisions with your money!
We do make profits on our boxes occasionally, we also lose too. You absolutely can get some amazing cards, but it's always important to remember that buying cards and boxes is not a way to make money, and I would advise against this in all cases!
