What tips do you have for a first timer at Beyond?
Go early Friday, the traffic is always horribleeeeeee
So many tips haha:
1. Take time to explore all the little art installations and general atmosphere! Lots of fun details at this rave ❤
2. The NOS Center/San Bernardino is… a lot. Be incredibly cautious of where you park your car/stay bc it is a sketchy part of town. Can provide more specifics if needed!
3. Traffic will be bad but it’s ok, you will get there and leave there eventually BUT… Uber is rough to find leaving sometimes.
4. Each stage is worth checking out. Truly.
5. Art carts! Keep an eye out, one year Kaskade randomly showed up and started spinning on one haha. Lots of great finds there.
6. Pickpocketers work in GANGS out here. So just be wary - try and avoid the left front side of the main stage, that’s where they usually hit.
All in all, my favorite rave 🎉 worth going for sure!

Been going to events specifically at NOS for a little over 3 years now and upcoming Beyond will be my 4th.
1: Watch your phone! Friend's phones have been stolen and I caught someone trying to go into my pocket for mine it's a big issue here.
2: Vibes are hit or miss cuz it's a very young ~just go to party scene so bring your own good vibes everywhere you go.
3. Fresh day but cold night.
4. Leave early'ish, it gets crazy if you wait till the end even shuttle line is an hour+ wait at times.
5. Visit the little downtown area! The production is so good and people really get into the theme all around the event.
Are you planning to do a meet up? 👏
Look and try to memorize the map beforehand. Know where to get water and where to pee cause when you're goneee it's a challenge to find where things are lol
Some tips from someone who has done Beyond and NOS Center events many times before:
1. Bring layers like a jacket or sweatshirt. It's pretty mild during the day (60-70), but will drop to the 50's at night.
2. Beyond consistently has one of the best vibes among the SoCal Insomniac festivals. That being said, it is a SoCal Insomniac festival (lol), so you're going to run into the usual people who just go to party and get fucked up, as well as people who shove through the crowd. Like any festival though, it's more common at the main stage/mainstream acts.
3. The surrounding area definitely isn't the best. Cars are known to be broken into, so I highly recommend parking in the official Insomniac lots if driving. Alternatives are to use the shuttles or rideshare (I always opt for shuttles for the NOS events). I'd personally avoid walking through the surrounding neighborhoods at 2 AM.
4. There's a cluster of hotels near the Ontario hotel shuttle stop (which is at the Best Western) that are easily walkable. You have the bigger hotel chains like Ramada but also smaller boutique hotels that are nice as well.
5. Friday shuttles will always take longer, depending on what time you go, to get to the festival because of the concurrent city & airport traffic. Without traffic, it usually takes like 30 minutes or so (from Ontario).
6. There are also official after-parties from 2 AM - 6 AM at the same venue on both days, but you need separate tickets for those. The lineups haven't been revealed though.
7. Also, highly recommend checking out Kyruh, an up-and-coming NY-based techno DJ, and Trym, who also plays super aggressive, hard-dance style techno. They're on my must-see list!
ALSO: This is true for many other festivals, but phone theft is especially rampant at NOS events. I personally have never had anything stolen (knock on wood), but many of my friends have had their phones stolen. There are organized groups that target NOS events. Be vigilant, don't get too fucked up, and invest in anti-theft gear (Lunchbox, flip belt, etc).

@@SexyButCurious I believe so! I’ve just heard the crowd at ESCAPE can be really tough because it’s a Halloween event so a lottt of people who aren’t normally in the rave scene attend that one and get super fucked up
@@SexyButCurious Pretty much! But yeah, like Emma said, it's a lot more of a rowdy crowd of people who aren't in the scene b/c it's Halloween, so they're just there to get fucked up. I just try to avoid being deep in the crowd, so I don't get shoved. Also, it gets COLD at night.
This will be my 2nd Beyond Wonderland definitely my favorite of ALL SoCal insomniac events, i so hope to see you there, enjoy !!!

4th year I attend beyond ! And born/raised in Cali & have been going to events at the nos since I was 15 ! Beyond weather has been hot during the days but can get cold at night so a sweater or even a pash can be fine to keep warm ! Riverside or Ontario are the best options since they have shuttles to and from the fest. The area around the nos can be sketchy but if you take shuttles you shouldn’t have to worry since the shuttles are right near the entrance/exit beyond is my favorite fest and can be such a good time! I hope to run into you I’ll be doing vip for the first time at beyond this year I’m so excited (‘:

LA born and raised, rave veteran here. 🙋🏻♀️
1) gets cold at night so layers.
2) food and drinks are expensive, EDC expensive.
3) San Bernardino is ghetto so the venue attracts some sketchy people.
4) You mentioned you’re staying further from the venue so keep in mind that LA traffic is a nightmare. Shuttles will take forever.
5) The theme and production are top notch.
6) it’s very crowded so the plur vibes are not necessarily there. Honestly though, depends on the stage.
Overall, the experience is what you make of it. You will find people that are there to just to party but also people that are there for the music. Don’t want to scare you. It’s an amazing festival, but just wanted to point out the “negatives”. I’m sure you will love it! I’m doing VIP so hopefully I see you there. ❤

My only tip is be ready to walk all the drop offs to beyond are a good distance from the venue. Also I didn’t hear you mention infected mushroom they are one of the not to be missed. Every time I see them is mind blowing.

I recommend staying at a hotel by the Ontario airport you can jump on the shuttle that they have right there at one of the hotels. I live in Ontario so im planning on using the shuttles to get to the festival

Some tips (been to NOS 4 times)
1. Stay hydrated!
There are a lot of water stations throughout the venue so you should use it to your advantage. Bring a water pak because they charge an arm and a leg for water out there.
2. Be vigilant
Although its relatively safe I would always suggest being aware of your surroundings. Pickpocketing is rampant and most of the time what they do is bump into you (or their target) whilst reaching for your possessions. They often work in teams of 2 to 3 people. With one person doing the reaching and the other person grabbing said phone/wallet and putting it in their bag/pocket. The second person (sometimes a third) also serves the purpose of blocking the one reaching so be aware of this. Hide your belongings and enjoy the moment! Your phone can always wait. Hide it deep in your bag!
3. Assign a DD
There are several options available to get to the venue but the best way is to arrive by car and to park at the assigned parking lot (N E st. & W 2nd st.) is my preferred lot this parking lot is far but you get the benefit of not being stuck in traffic when the event is done. There will be a free shuttle bus to take you to and from the venue. Just make sure to line up properly and make it to the queue at an appropriate time.
4. EXPLORE
Insomniac does well with providing entertainment other than the music. I suggest taking a screenshot or a picture of the map and using it as a reference point. YOU WILL LOSE your group. So establish a rendezvous point and gather there. I might also suggest buying some walkie talkied since it will almost be impossible to get a good signal when you’re in a thick crowd.
5. Pace yourself
Plan in advance which artists you want to see and which artists you don’t care for. NOS is a huge venue and you don’t want to find yourself running from end to end wasting time and possibly losing friends to the crowd. Make a schedule and stick to it!
Other than that you will have a good time. The vibes are great and the people are generally nice. Just have your head on a swivel, be good to others, and always do everything as a group (bathroom, getting water, and walking into crowds) and you will have a blast. Stay safe out there!

Really would love to go but didn't plan it and would be hard to do at the last min coming from FL. Can't wait for edclv and Escape. May do Beyond next year if not Ultra.
Here to say that I'm going both days again this year and this is my second beyond wonderland. I really enjoy it a lot it's like a mini edc and more affordable for me. Gareth emery and Andrew rayel are my must sees. Also the best way to get there has got to be the Ontario airport shuttle especially if you stay in the hotel at the shuttle stop which was too pricey for me but I imagine the convenience is great. I just stayed in Ontario with family and took uber to the shuttle stop last year. Can't believe beyond is already coming up so soon I know it's gonna be a great one.
I'm Going to Beyond Wonderland and it will be my first rave festival. I only been to 4 small raves so this will be a crazy experience!

Ride share was pretty good when I used it. And my friend who I was with did pay for parking a few blocks away. 😅
SoCal raver here (: if you have extra time on your trip, check out Victoria Gardens! It’s a super nice outdoor mall with a lot of nice restaurants too! It’s about 20 mins from the venue.
Definitely try to Uber to the event instead of parking there, the surrounding area isn’t the safest! You’re going to have a great time!
Spend a lot of time exploring they do really lean into the theme.
Definitely do Shuttle from different city with nicer hotel. Los Angeles/ San Bernardino can be very ghetto. While the production/ theming is on an EDC level. Please know the crowd/thievery/area is on the bad side. Luckily you will be going with BeatBox so you should be surrounded with better people. Im glad this lineup is for you, and glad you’ll

I’ve been watching your videos since 2018-2019 when I started raving and I’m super exited for you to finally experience a SoCal fest. If I can give you any tips that you wouldn’t already know I would say driving and parking by the festival is risky, arrive early bc lines for everything get crazy around 8 pm, every stage is pretty packed but just enter each stage the opposite side that all the sheep are crowding sounds simple but I see people always crowding one area which makes it more crowded than it needs to be. Also would recommend leaving 30 mins before the festival ends so you don’t have to wait over an hour to exit parking lots find Uber or wait in line for shuttles

MOST important part for the So Cal raves, get your shuttle pass NOW. The area with the hotels is nice enough. The NOS event center....not so much. We took the ride share Insomniac got for Escape 2 years ago. SOOOO $$$$$$$ and very sketchy.

the only thing i am worried about is parking. i know beyond offers locations to park but the friend i am going with is probably gonna want to go around 5ish maybe and i just know imma get screwed out of parking... and premium parking was so expensive and i should've bought it for both days :( cause now it is sold out

Hope you got VIP, the stages get really crowded. The NOS itself is crowded you will experience bottlenecks with the crowd. Be careful, I carry narcan and saw several people so messed up they were being carried by their friends. If you can get there a day or two before just to adjust to that 3 hour time change, do it.
