Alright, here's the review of the Logitech Z623 speakers that I promised. I have owned them for almost three months, and I have to say that I am pleased with them. At first I thought the bass was a bit muddy, but after using the system for a while the bass seems pleasantly clear. (I think it may have been the mixing quality of the audio I was listening to, as well.) I have kept the bass knob at around 33% the whole time I have been using them, because you get a good amount of bass that isn't overwhelming at this level. In terms of the system volume, I keep the main volume knob at around 30% to 40% for a comfortable yet clearly audible listening experience. I have played around with this system and cranked the bass and the volume, and believe me it does get loud, but I can't help but think that you're not getting a true 200 watt RMS output with these speakers. As the video shows there is no way to adjust the treble output of the speakers, but I think the treble and mid-range of these speakers is adequate for sure; it's definitely not sub-par. I love how all the speaker cones have metal mesh covering them; it's a reassuring layer of protection. As far as the THX "certification" goes, I don't think it really means much, I think it's more of a marketing gimmick than anything else. The speakers sound great, but they also look badass too. I should probably mention: ever since I got these speakers, they emit a barely-audible high-pitched squeal. It is so faint and high-pitched that you almost can't hear it, but I can see this being a deal-breaker for some people. Staying on the topic of unwanted noise, I am happy to note that adjusting the volume or bass knobs does not cause a noise signal to come through the speakers. I have read reports of this happening with these speakers, but luckily for me this hasn't occurred. In closing, I would like to note that if you are going to get these speakers, make sure you have room for them on your desk or whatever, because they are BIG, especially the subwoofer. I am very pleased with these speakers and I would recommend them to anyone who wants to produce and listen to music. Thanks for reading; I hope this helps you!
Hi Gavin, i have now the Logitech X230. Bought the Logitech z623 for €30 Euros almost brand new! here in The Netherlands, it's where i live. Bought the Dukabel 8 feet from Amazon USA, it will arrive at 11/23/2022 at my home. To replace the original 3.5 mm jack plug to connect it to the PC. i have plenty of space on my desk for both of the satellite speakers, also for the Subwoofer under my desk. i will use this system for normal use, listening and watching videos from CZcams. Watching this review in December 2022 - just recently picked up these speakers for $80 and really enjoy them! They sound light-years ahead of what my previous sounded like (which coincidentally,was also a Logitech setup) and have been very happy with them.
I own these speakers and let me tell you they are insane! I used to own the Klipsch 2.1 300w sound system and although the sound was amazing it had this annoying ass sound cracking whenever you turned the volume up or down. Not with Logitech Z623, the sound is just as amazing, looks cooler, and the over design is more modern and durable to stand the test of time. If you're a serious PC gamer and need powerful bass and sound you will love this sound system. I've watched The Dark Knight Rises on bluray and it literally sounds just as impressive as it did when I saw it in movie theaters. It's that good.

It's not the best you can get, but it's good enough. And the subwoofer might suffer from clipping and port noise on higher volumes, but it sure is a beast! Proud to say I own one.

Joanne got a workout on this one. :- ) The thicker cable has all the control lines in it. lol shiny rubber feet with dust! Oh my! 2 days in my game room and the whole thing would be covered. Doesn't seem to matter how often I clean and dust.

whats with the power efficiency after 120mins does that make my bass lower as usuall? because after a wile of listening music i noticed my bass was lower as before does that have somthing to doe with the energy efficiency pleas answer this .
I had mine setup with my old tv and used to use them by using the audio jack. Now I got a new tv and there's no audio jack on it. I have bought all sorts of different cords and can't seem to get them working with my led/lcd panasonic Viera. It has an optical audio out, two hdmi (which both in use) and a few other plug ins. Just wondering if you can help getting these connected to my new TV, as I really like them. Thanks a lot!!
I cant hear anything, until I put my volume to 100% ( I've got LOUD speakers). So the itro Neweeg music just blasts the room away, and than I can bearly hear her. MIC issues ? Or is it me ?... Highly doubt its me cuz I just tested it in youtube sooo....

The high and mids are alright, nothing special though but sounds good and the bass is nice, it is a lot and it is well behaved if you don't turn it up too much. I am glad I bought this, all music sounds nice on it. It is very good with movies and when I play battlefield it is very nice to totally turn up the bass.. I guess this set is hard to beat for the same price.

***** Really depends a lot on your price range and where you live, and also how much space you have, as they range from anything as small as PC speaker size, to giant floorstanding speakers. Your best bet is to visit a forum and look around what people recommend at your budget and see if it's available where you live. It requires a bit more research, but will give you the best sound

eladbari 1. Low volume is surprisingly good, you might want to turn the bass all the way up at low volumes though or else it'll be lacking.. 2. Without sub they sound quite weird, no bass at all.. I guess they could sound better but I think that the bass dial just turns down the low tones for everything, the sub and satalites.

Dust Devil Typically for the other line of Klipsch Home Audio speakers I would agree but for computer speakers Klipsch are crap. They are highly unreliable speakers. I like heavy bass so I would would certainly choose logitech over Klipsch for that reason alone but Klipsch Promedia have issues of breaking down and no matter how nice they sound if they can't hold up then the product is worthless.
Tell EVERYONE how tell Power Button wears out after a short amount of time-Mine lasted 6 weeks from Newegg WHOOPPEE!!! It's a recurring problem on this model VERY CHEAP power button that FAILS for almost everyone from one month to a one year old system ??? Address the issue Logitech & Newegg. How about it.
It absolutely sucks! I bought these because of peoples comments ('It's a beast, amazing bass, they are insane') but they really are garbage. My 15 year old Z2300 sound way better, louder and more bass.

you said to place the sub woofer on your desk. Please do not do that. Subwoofers must be placed on the floor.

Why is there no optical input to use with a ps4 or xbox one?
While usually there are adapters available an optical in would necessitate a 5.1 system, IMO.
Just get a PC you bum.
I have a pc but it looks like only some 5.1 computer speaker systems have optical inputs.
