For a person that grew up in Jackson and went to all Jackson State games growing up ... This show was okay at best ... shows when I was growing up was way better and more entertaining
There's only so much you can do. There's no David Chambers to be Wavey Dave and slam into the goal post. There's no Leroy the twirler. You take those elements away and most of the shows were like this one. I agree they have stopped doing a lot of dancing for some reason. Maybe if they do more of that, it will be more entertaining. Bands nowadays are all about the zero and 5th quarters

Bent knees, flexed feet, no transitions during the routine; if they do transition it is simple. Their field shows are always a complete eye sore. They should take off season intensives in ballet and jazz so they can up their game. I love their stands, however.

Why all these bands playing side piece this season? GSU played that on the field in 2016 but GSU AN JSU did the song justice Miles has the worse arrangement. Alcorn arrangement from 2016 is nice too.
I usually like JSU shows bit this was a no for me. Too many gimmicks to make a point against ASU. Everything was good until the dance routine, which was almost like a slow news day.

Every show has been the same all season really don't know what's going on with JSU........ what ever happened to the Dance Routines? We can always be sure at the end of each show we will get JSU Rocks the house. And I marched in the boom 88 -92 and we danced our ass off.
I definitely agree JSU doesn't rock the house like they used too. I don't enjoy the Boom on the field anymore. They have also been recycling parts of their fieldshows from the previous weeks. The Boom has been mediocre this year, it's like they barely practice anymore. They do just enough to get by. Its disappointing to say the least.

Otherwise people will be saying they're doing the same things, cant please everybody. They're drills are cleaner and more intricate now, and that's what I love about real marching bands

Did I miss their dance routine? That was boring. The band individual band members danced more than the band. I can teach 3 or 4 people a dance routine, teach the whole band how to do the routine. Sad
