- This was a incredible trip on the southbound Amtrak Silver Star from Cary, NC to West Palm Beach, FL I experienced the whole journey down to Florida passing through Columbia, SC, Savannah, GA, Jacksonville, FL, Orlando, FL, and Tampa, FL. For this journey I stayed in a brand new viewliner bedroom, along with eating meals in the viewliner dining car. In this video I will give you a full tour of the whole train, along with showing you Amtrak’s diner service, and more. Make sure to stay tuned and come along with me on this amazing Amtrak journey. Enjoy the video!

Silver Star is a great route! I took the Silver Meteor (similar route) from my home city of Philadelphia down to Savannah, GA for a trip and I stayed in a roomettte. Was a comfortable ride and was right on time. I love having access to such great train routes and I love Amtrak
nice one ty for sharing peace
It was fun to take this trip with you. Great scenery. I hope you get to record some of the other overnight Amtrak routes. 👏👏👏
I'm watching this at 20:00 and I can hear a train coming into our town, wondering where it's going!
You are so lucky you saw 74, the P42DC with the best horn!! Did you have a four-leaf clover? 😅 And when I went on 92, my train had the Tallahassee Viewliner!
Awesome video! By far the best you have done yet. You really did a great job putting it together and showing all the interesting sites along the way as well as details of the train. Definitely an A+
Thanks!!!
I took a trip from Chicago to DC on the Cardinal, then back on the Capitol Limited last month. The cafe service has been drastically improved and Amtrak’s preference rights are being more strictly enforced.
The music is new! Very nice!
Awesome video! I liked all the details about the trip. That looked like a fun trip and experience
Thanks!!
Thank You!
Interesting tidbit. The Hamlet, NC station was actually on the other side of the tracks. They literally picked up the whole station and moved it to the other side of the diamond. Lakeland, FL is the only station where the trains in either direction stop twice.
Appreciate it. That’s interesting, yeah it’s pretty cool that it stops there in both directions
Thank you so much
at the 37:02 mark behind the fedex truck is my favorite little coffee shop, Krazy Kup. Also right before that is the Plant City Train viewing platform. Great train watching spot. 2 main rail lines converge right there. Majority of Florida's freight crosses runs through those 2 lines as well as Amtrak.
Great video, enjoyed watching it!!! 😊
Thanks!
AWESOME video!
Thanks!
Did anyone else see the inside of the train station in the beginning and think to themselves it was a jail visit waiting area 😂😂😂
Haha, it is a pretty plain area!
Nice train video♥️
Thanks!
Keep up your good work.
Thanks, will do!
This room looks way better than in other trains. We took Silver Meteor, NC-WPB round trip, not so long ago, and the money we paid was not worth it. The bedroom was outdated and the menu was typed on a single piece of paper, with 3 choices for breakfast and 4 for lunch/dinner.
How much did it cost?
@@harveyblanchard1423 round trip,1 bedroom, for 2 passengers cost us $2,200.
Also They Brought Back Some More Breakfast Food For Sleeping Car Passengers Also They Can Get A Complimentay Alcohol Beverage Just One At Dinner

Did you enjoy your trip super video
Yes I did, thanks!
Just by the way tomorrow part two of my journey is coming out
@@thetrainsport can’t wait too watch I enjoy it
it arrived 41 minutes late in Cary? Shocker!!
noahs vid blowing up
Is there no connection between the sleeper and Amfleet cars?
No there is, it’s between the dining car and the café. The dining car is a viewliner and the café car is a Amfleet and there is a connection between the two
Great video bro!!!
Thanks!
@@thetrainsport No problem bro!
@@thetrainsport I have a question, did 91 meet 78?
@@etwikfam from what I know I don’t think so, but they could of and I just didn’t see it
@@thetrainsport I was asking because they were like 5-10 mins away from each other.
What car were you on? What room did you have?
I had Viewliner Bedroom Sleeper car
@@thetrainsport I see that you were in car 9111. Room B I presume? That car is a Viewliner II…do you happen to know if they change car numbers? Will car 9111 always be a Viewliner II or does it change around? Thanks.
@@tomulator it changes depending on what train it’s on
How’s the food? Scale of
1 = Army rations and
10 = 5-star hotel restaurant?
For the food I’d give it a 8/10
@@thetrainsport Thanks.
@@thetrainsport I have an important question for you
@@amadocarrillofuentes7181yes, what’s your question?
I have question
Sorry for the late response haha, if you still know your question let me know!
Great video! Where'd you get that duffle bag?
Thanks, I got it from the Amtrak merchandise store
How come you never talk in your videos?
I apologize for the late response, but I don’t talk just so everyone can really take all of what it’s like on the train in, instead of me talking the whole time.
Seems noisy, hard to sleep.
It is a little but most of the noise puts you to sleep
You really need to understand how to hold a camera, because either youre 3 ft tall or always facing that camera down. Its infuriating to watch this perspective, its like a 4 year old constantly looking up at things.
Well the thing is that I don’t want to shove a camera in peoples faces in public cause I don’t know if they don’t want to be filmed or not
Dude he held the camera just fine tbh. Sure it was a little shaky but he's on a train traveling at 65+ sometimes. Him holding the camera down is actually a good idea
@@silverhawk24 go ahead I would love for you to explain (to a professional videographer in myself) why facing the camera down, not position the camera low, but holding the camera at likely sternum to belly height and then angling the camera further down is “better”.
@@thetrainsportMe too.
I swear bro, people just love being assholes at this point
