This car is just beautiful and the interior is gorgeous
Jaguars are great cars and definitely supercharged engines go with the brand tradition but this 2.0 turbo engine is not bad at all.Supercharged engines have performance but are not fuel efficient.Why wouldn't I buy a Jag with this efficient engine, who cares, you still drive a Jag and girls go with you:)

The noise that the vents make when they rise is a nice touch.
This one is particularly gorgeous with the sport package, you don’t see many with that package
Engine noise massively lets it down especially when the exterior and interior looks so elegant.

Shut up, go away. This is the only channel that actually has POV driving without some jerk babbling away. This is perfect and should stay as is. If you want reviews with people talking, there are LOADS of other channels out there. Don't try to change something completely different to average content. As I said, there are tons of (boring) car reviews out there.

me too. they're going for about $30k right now and I join the military in 9 months. I may just have to buy one :) at first I thought this was just some fancy toyota camry but boy was I wrong, it's the equivalent of a rolls royce with a much better price tag.

Now that you think about it, this 4 cylinder model isn't so bad. Considering the 528i had a turbo 4 and the A6 2.0T has a turbo 4 cylinder. Btw isnt the 2.0t in this a ford engine?

0-60 is 6.12 seconds if you launch it in sports mode
The turbo is not working ain't post to rev up thar high its under boosting mine has that problem

Yes, its a 4 cyl 2000 cc Turbo, very potent. 0 - 100 km/h 7.9 secs. I bought one a week ago.

@@MrMileHigh she is a brilliant runner. Will never go back to Benz or BMW for the value it offers. At 160 km'h she runs on 2100 refs! Aparently, the States decided to disconue all the other engines except the 2l turbo, which tells me something.

lovely videos as always. this jag shud never have anything less than a supercharged v6. that 4 cylinder sounds like its taking abuse. sc v6 or v8. thats all jag.
Agreed but not everyone can afford or want to run a 3.0 V6 or a 5.0 V8. Most people just want the car it self with a much more economical engine.

I agree!!! Same in Ireland... although nothing looks worse than Alfas with front reg plates cos they're on the side.... Looks awful!!
That's flashing shifter position would annoy the hell out of me
You see it flashing because the camera he's using is probably shooting 30fps or less. The LCD screen on the dash which displays what gear he driving has a screen refresh rate that offsets his camera fps. That's why on video you see it flashing. To see it it flash through naked eye it has to be a very slow refresh rate to even see it.
as jaguar is a premium brand and the market that buys theses cars are most likely business men doing long miles instead of back roads, vice versa, no need for a sporty manual box.
I feel that they are not doing the XF justice by displaying it's 2.0L engine. I own a 2012 5.0 V8 XF and I would really like to see them review that car.
I agree, the 2012 was the best year for this car IMO. It has the updated sexy design and the smooth and powerful 5.0 V8. I am having a hard time deciding what I can replace this car with at this price tag.
MrHP, do you own the 2012? Currently looking at a couple of them used - research phase on engine etc. Have you had any issues with yours? Do you mind if I ask how many miles it has? Any issues with the water pump / crossover pipe?

Amazing car I just wish they wouldn't have gotten rid of the v8 base model. the four cylinder sounds so wimpy. Stupid fuel economy regulations :(. (Yes I know higher models, and xfr and xfr-s have supercharged v8's but still)

Turbo is almost always the best option for a low dispacement engine.
Intake, downpipe, exhaust, and a tune. You should be able to easily squeeze out another 50 HP.
+MrHPJunkie If you're gonna go the naturally aspirated route, make sure you do the cams lol

I'm all for high tech/more efficient engines, but this 4 cylinder just sounds way too rough and cheap for a car of this price. The should have stuck with the NA V6 IMO.
Suspension is an issue with jaguar :/

Well I’m sure that it feels peppy, the 2.0 T engine they use in this XF is from Ford, and the same 2.0 T engine in the 2013 Ford fusion 2.0 T has 240 hp and 270 pound feet of torque and is faster than this, at $50-$70,000 that is just unacceptable, Plus a base 2012 BMW 328i I will do 0 60 in 5.4...

Good car, luxurious but not very sporty. That transmission is the issue I think, 8 speed torque converter auto in a 2.0T?
If you have to go auto at least give us a dual clutch, if you can't afford that then give us a manual. Why doesn't jaguar offer no manuals whatsoever?
