I think everyone will agree with me that we need more videos on pivot table to familiarize ourselves as well get to see other options in Google sheets. Please like if you agree...
God this is such an amazing turtorial , Been watching an 8 course specialization and in that they made used Pivot tables 4 diffrent table but never was I able to gasp the the actual concept thank you
Hi, thanks for sharing! I wonder if you could share an exercise google sheet to practice with? Perhaps the same one you used as the example in this video. Thanks :)
Great tutorial. I had no idea what pivot tables are. FYI - the main table showed no one sold any desks, but the filter brought up these reps sold desks. :-)
Thank you! Very helpful! Question: on google sheets, once I set up my pivot table, and go back to my main sheet & update it with new values, will my pivot table update accordingly?
I'm curious where the More Sorting Options is for ways to sort by month since a basic Ascending > Descending does not put the months in order. Do you have a video or instruction for how to navigate to this? Thank you
Hey, loved the video, the issue I have is that my chart is not working because there are blanks in some cells, I can't figure out how to make blanks 0 on sheets pivot tables, been driving me crazy.
It's not directly related, but I have a question I'd hoped I might be able to use a pivot table to solve. Unfortunately it looks like not. I have a bunch of paired columns in my data and I want to SUMIF all of them simultaneously. Using example date, I wrote a formula to do what I want, but it's already bulky when only including three of the pairs then there are like 20: I even managed to make an array that can merge the data into two columns and then allow me to run a regular SUMIF, but then I need to have that data present somewhere in my sheet So is there a way to do this within an ARRAYFORMULA or some other function to keep things looking clean and keep the formula from being half a page long?
I have two two versions of Excel 2013 and Microsoft 365 and neither one of them has the option in Data tab. I have Pivot Table in Insert tab. What version do you use?
You did not start with a question. What is it you are trying to achieve? Your tutorial would be much more understandable if you give the context. In your example, the rows section is about "what you want to measure". The column specifies "whether you want to measure it across the nation, across the state or across the globe like total sales per region", the values measures the actual unknown like avg(sales), sum(sales) you pick the data you want to apply aggregate functions to.

Question: on google sheets, once I set up my pivot table, and go back to my main sheet & update it with new values, will my pivot table update accordingly?
Great question. Yes, a pivot table is dynamic. So any changes you make within the selected area will be reflected in the table.
Fantastic Love this video..
Perfect!
We need to do something to have more sales on the desks ;)

I'm curious where the More Sorting Options is for ways to sort by month since a basic Ascending > Descending does not put the months in order. Do you have a video or instruction for how to navigate to this? Thank you
