  • In this session of ‪@analyticsschool‬ , we will discuss how one can quantify the relationship between two numerical variables using correlation analysis. We will use Proc Corr procedure in SAS to calculate the Pearson Correlation Coefficient, Spearman Rank Correlation Coefficient, Kendall Tau Correlation Coefficient, Partial Correlation Coefficient as well as Hoeffding’s D. We will also learn how to create scatter plot and matrix plot using Proc Corr procedure.
Correlation coefficient ranges between -1 to 1. Moreover, the association between variables can positive, negative or no relationship at all.
