So, you were talking about the many different "cairn routes" from which to choose. Is there no app for these trails, such as Guthooks or Alltrials? And, if no app, how do you know which trail to follow - do they all lead to the same place, just over different terrains? Or, is there always a possibility of veering way off of your intended direction?
Linda there is no app for this trail. I could see the general area on Maps.Me. I looked at landmarks like river and lakes to make decisions. I also left early enough in the morning in case I got lost and needed to backtrack.

doowop54 I saw lots of Guanaco 🦙 near the roads. First one while hiking!
