    kinda amazing that two of the best latin standards are by a super german white american - the man respected and loved the music so much he was able to dive right into the cutting edge of those traditions and contribute to its history seamlessly. genuine legend of jazz history whose work i hope will someday get the attention from theorists it deserves

    I was there. I was also high on jazz cigarettes. Didn't even know the significance of this man's compositions at the time.

    Thanks so much 4 this invaluable upload & 4 the previous three installments as well.
    Particular highlights here include Clare's two most popular compositions, i.e. the basic 8-bar theme from "Morning" (1:52) & the entire 64-bar structure of "Pensativa" (2:54). Moreover, after chronicling the ways in which the aforementioned 2 compositions in particular have been mangled, either musically or lyrically, by top-selling covers, we get Clare's inspired, stream-of-consciousness pianistic rant (6:59).
