That's a really nice build. CJC Offroad sells some aluminum mounts that go in the bed, both sides and the front, so you can mount a jack, shovels, etc, securely. I wish someone made air lockers for the 2500 diesel. Then you would have a Power Wagon but better.
I like this truck soo much. The stance is spot on and with the bumpers it looks much more balanced out. Thing is,, it needs,,, NEEDS,,, one more thing. A rear locker vs the limited slip. Dojo an air actuated one & have a high quality onboard air compressor as well!! (The “last thing” is always elusive!! 😂😂😂. Thanks for this project TFL. Loved it with the camper on the back for functional sleeping accommodation.
Thats really cool. My only concern would be when you go into regen mode for the exhaust, it being so close to the paint now. Might melt paint from your rear corner.
We totally missed out on that white mega cab long bed conversion in the shop. A point to note, that factory rear bumper is somewhat of a unicorn. Drive around and look at every 2500-3500 Dodge/Ram rear bumper, a huge portion of them have some sort of towing dent in them. This may depend on your sample area demographic.
I can’t remember this bumper ever being in stock on AEV’s website. In fact most of their parts including the dual sport suspension for ram hd has said “insufficient stock” since I got my Power Wagon at the end of 2019.
We have been having a rolling back order on those parts over the last 12-18 months. Most orders fulfill in 2-8 weeks. Just give AEV or Bullhide 4x4 a call to order.
"Can you explain why we are doing this" Because we are either paying for the entire cost of product and install for advertisement expense or offering it to you at cost so we both benefit for the advertising.
Love the * Tall * Look * of these new Trucks BUT it creates a BIG A $$ Blind Spot forward. MAKE a CAB Over / Cab Forward Style of Pick UP Truck. LIKE >> Chevy 4500 LCF Crew Short
Hey TFL are you using the stock spare? If I remember correctly you guys went with 37s? I have a similar setup and if you are running tires that are larger than the spare, you cannot use that stock spare. That wheel would be spinning faster than the others and it will screw up the sensors as it relates to the speedometer, etc. That info is from the dealer. I had to scrap the stock spare and buy a 37 inch tire for a spare. FYI
Weld it out of 7075-T6 Series Aluminum which is super-strong AND super-light! That would be the BEST option. It is very near the strength of modern Titanium Alloys for one-third the cost! V
@ 9:12 when they drilled the hole for the passenger rear sensor they left the bare metal exposed I don’t know why they didn’t put some paint or bed liner to flow with the texture of the bumper, that will rust and for being such a nice and expensive bumper that’s the only reason I mention, I love the build and truck and everything about this but just please get that addressed lol in Canada it would rust in a month with the salt on our roads but that is one of the nicest rear bumpers I think is out there !!!!
I love the bumper. Would have been nice to see Nathan's face if he had to write out the check for it with parts and install labor.
Sponsored content.
You’re right. The company credit card probably melted.

Definitely want to see more on this truck!
Definitely want to see more on this truck. Cool build
Love this Truck. It's one sweet ride.

It is finished when you add lockers.

🤣🤣🤣
Thanks for showing small business.

Easily one of the overland builds of all time!
I wonder how many people on here don’t know what “amscray” means. Luckily, I’m multilingual 🤣
That looks great!
And it comes with cup holders as well?!?
SOLD!!!! ✌🏽🇺🇸🙏
Those bumpers look so good!
Very nice build!
Awesome bumpers! The downside is that the payload of that 2500 is now 500 pounds. 😂😅
it would be nice if they did stuff for the super duty line!!
cup holders on a bumper, only in america!
And the payload is now...?
1500 pounds on an HD?
DANG looks good

Great idea, other businesses should try that!🤣
I love those tow mirrors the new ones just look so much worse
Was that white Ram a mega cab-long bed? Rare if it is!
Making expensive trucks more expensive….TFL got the bucks. 8 hours labor…. 😅
Mad max it. Lots of you tubers have done restoration films
Payload now has to be tiny on this truck now. it should have been a 3500.

Great looking rear bumper
Trail hound sure has some expensive jewelry on. Looking forward to the offroad videos with it.
Not a fan of the holes cut in the end tanks for the park sensors. looks rough and the fit of the sensor is recessed making it look worse.
Love AEV. Just wish they made Unimog parts. 😢
How is that going to change the before the recall numbers?
What ever happened to the Cummins reprogram results video???🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️
Awesome
Parking sensor install looked pretty rough and ragged, they could have sanded it for a cleaner install.
maybe hd trucks just arent ideal for overroading
I want to know what is going on with the mega cab long bed at 7:07
Good eye! It was in the shop getting converted from a DRW to a SRW.
Funny they didn’t mention $$ expensive!
as of 3-4-24, the rear bumper will cost between $1896-2239 depending on options.
Some people think if they drive a truck they don’t need to follow their road rules anymore
Some small cars act that way! 🤣

6 to 8 hours to install a bumper? And it had scratches by one of the park sensors? Man, tfl didn't even get the joy of first scratch.
Snorkel?
Not yet, but we talked about adding it!
you didn't tell us one thing HOW MUCH???
if you had one made from Titainium it would cost a fortune but a lot lighter
Weld it out of 7075-T6 Series Aluminum which is super-strong AND super-light! That would be the BEST option. It is very near the strength of modern Titanium Alloys for one-third the cost!

At 9:12 it shows the park sensor in the plastic corner tank. I know Canada is rough, but I haven't seen plastic rust! 🤣
@@aevnate4140 ohhh I thought it was all steel my bad guys 🍻
Major upgrade... we traded it in for another brand. Lol

I lost confidence and respect for RAM when they failed to show at the Chicago auto show.
Infomercial, not a fan
