Remember to tell everybody there that you're a STAR! Throw a hairbrush at somebody from time to time, just to remind them!
Hahaha
I had a PICC line put in last year when I was going through chemotherapy. It was a very quick painless procedure & the PICC itself worked incredibly well. I had it in for 6 months. You soon get used to it & I forgot it was in half the time. The only time I really had to give it any thought was when showering. Wishing you all the very best & sending lots of positive thoughts your way. I know all the positive wishes I received last year helped immensely 🥰
Thank you so much
Hugs Sarah. Thanks for keeping us in the loop.
Thanks so much for sharing your journey and I know that the hospital staff will absolutely fall in LOVE with you, just as we have!! You got this, Sarah!!!

Thank you for allowing us to follow your journey Sarah. I'm sure once they have you settled you will start to get bored, so it's good you have your kindle and a way to make videos if you want to. You're in our hearts and minds.
Hey!! My daughter called PICC line “artery jewelry” 😂 She says it didn’t hurt at all, and it was SO much easier than having to get IVs done. She loved hers. So glad you are settling in to the hospital. ❤ We are rooting for you.
Thank you

I had a chest line IV for several weeks in the ICU. It was so much more comfortable than being stuck every day by incompetent nurses!
(I’m pretty sure they sent the newbies to practice on me because I had such visible veins, but I couldn’t prove it.)
Stay busy when you have the energy and the time will fly by. 😊
Wishing you the best!
😺✌️
@@Unpotted thank you
Wishing you all the best Sarah! Praying everything goes well! ❤
Sending you lots of hugs.

My daughter had a picc line both of the times she was on life support. It did really well both times, and it's so much better than having to change veins for the i.v. every day or two. Many prayers. ❤

My mother had a PICC line and she was very nervous to have it placed. She said it was nothing like she had built it up to in her mind and she did very well with it. As a long-time viewer here I wanted you to know that I am going to be praying for you and following your journey.

Hi Sarah. My daughter had a central line out in at hospital after a prolonged fit. They tried giving her medication through canulas but her veins kept collapsing. Because she was only six they put her out to put it in but it was a God send. Afterwards her medication applications were painless and easy. She was in hospital for two months. Everyone was so lovely and caring. I'm sending you live and prayers for your journey. And like Steve says make sure they know your fabulous!!😊
Thank you
Prayers for you my friend. Thank you for sharing your journey. ❤
Thank you so much!
Thank you very much for letting us know you are settled in your room. Will be thinking of you tomorrow and hope all goes well with getting the central line put in. Hope you have a good night - sending you love and hugs. 🧡💜🧡💜🫂🤗
Thank you so much!
*hugs* ❤
I had it put in a month ago and it was not half as bad as I made it in my mind. It is saving my arm veins too so that’s a huge blessing. I always try to think “in one day, this will be past and I’ll be moving on to think about other more pleasant things ❤❤
Thank yoi
Hi, Sarah!!!
I will be praying for you.
Hi! I had a dialysis catheter put in my neck. I was terrified, I got some calming meds which helped me. I had the catheter for 4 months. The best thing was my blood could be drawn by the dialysis nurse, it saved my arms from daily lab draws. ❤
Hi Sarah...I'm praying that things will go well and quickly for you! I love your positive cheery disposition ❤ but soon you will be through this time and you'll feel better ❤ sending you lots of hugs and prayers ❤
Hi Sarah please know you are in our thoughts during this process. Wishing you a smooth journey through this.
It’s great to see you. I will send lots of good vibes your way and some prayers too!

Said a prayer for you. Everything will be ok. 📚🩷
Lifting you up in prayer, may God heal you both body and mind. Sending you big hugs my friend. ❤🩹❤🩹❤🩹❤🩹❤🩹
Glad that all went as well as possible yesterday.
Hope the PICC line insertion will go well and won't be as painful as you think it might be. Think of it as another step ticked off to you getting home.
Sending best wishes and positivity.
My son had a pic line put in , he had it for about 3 weeks. It didn’t bother him ( he had it for 1 week at home). Praying for u 😊 Bookworm lady
Hi Sarah - I'm wishing you the best heart transplant a girl can have, with the best doctors possible. Sending you lots of positivity as you go through this journey. ❤
Thank you Sarah! I wish you well.❤
Sending you strength for the days ahead. I was so glad for my port (similar to a central line)-despite the fact that insertion was uncomfortable-because I didn’t have to get stuck over and over again. I hear the same from many other folks.
I second the port recommendation! I had one and it saved a lot of problems.
Estherjane here. I woke up to this lovely video the next morning. How great is that! I had a pic line put in for antibiotic for a diabetic wound. It was easy peasy. Way better than having an IV needle. Thanks so much Sarah for the update. ❤❤❤❤❤
Sarah, I am thinking of you and wishing you the very, very best every step of the way. You have lots of support and love and positivity surrounding you. ❤❤
Well my dear, you’re there and you’ve got the first day done with so that’s progress. It occurred to me watching this that there’s all these songs and stories written about how do you mend a broken heart and none of them bear any resemblance to what you’re going through right now. Someone should fix that. Just letting you know I’m thinking of you and sending you heaps and heaps of well wishes and hugs xx
Thank you
I was thinking of you all day today because I knew you’d be moving into the hospital. When I saw your video in my feed just now, I clicked on it right away. So glad you’re all settled - I’m sure it was a very stressful day for you, Garrett and your mom. Hope your headache begins to go away soon ❤
My mom got a big heart-shaped white cotton pillow and had everyone who helped her sign it in permanent marker. It helped her remember everyone. She loved it! 😊
Love that
Hi, I just discovered your channel. I also have had a piccline placed. It really is easy. The only problem with me, was i had to much scar tissue from previous picclines. I will follow your journey because I have similar health issues.
You are in my thoughts and prayers! You got this Sarah! Love from Louisiana!❤
Thank you so much!!
Thank you for taking the time to update us. You got through day 1 😊
I have only woken up with CVC in my neck. But I have been awake and aware when they put a thick dialysis catheter in my neck.. they don't use as much drugs in my country but I had local anesthesia. Still it was not the most comfortable experience. But as a fellow TGA - we have had worse proscidures done. All the best health and spirit to you Sarah! ❤
Glad to see you’re settled in okay.
Prayers & many good thoughts for you!!
Praying for you and your medical team and your whole family.
Thanks for the update, I've been thinking about you all day! ❤️ I hope you can get some good rest tonight. Keeping you in my prayers. 🙏🏻

😱 wow ❤
Hello Sarah! I will continue praying for you. Thank you for the update.
God Bless
Thank you so much!
@@thebookishknitter You're so welcome.
Here's to hoping for a painless procedure tomorrow, and that you manage to get at least a little rest.
I have seen them put in and at the hospital I worked at, they numb up the area before they start. Some doctors would send them to interventional radiology to place them. You can always ask and see if the doctor would order you something to help with the anxiety. The one thing about doctors is they all do things a wee bit different for each individual patient.
I had one, and I told them I was really nervous. He gave me something, and I didn't feel anything other than cold. I usually get faint when they draw blood, but I didn't at all. I'm sending you all the good thoughts and energy.
Thank you
❤
Hi Sarah, with such a long stay, will you be able to personalise your room a little? I'm not thinking a full bookshelf in the corner but more a knitting space, cat photos, anything to allow you to feel more at home during your stay. I've never been in more than 5 days, so I'm trying to imagine how much you can ma,e the space your own for such a long stay. I hope all goes well tomorrow with this procedure and that you have all your questions answered beforehand.
I have pictures and I brought my own bedding so I have something here which is great
Will you be able to spend any time outside when the weather gets better? I’m sending good wishes to you.
I hope so!
Thank you for giving us updates. We love you, Sarah!!! God's got his arms around you. You're gonna get through this, and your booktube family will be there with you every step of the way. Take care😘❤
