@@GustavooCarlinii extrav is still 60 bucks no? also jeff himself says that mystic mine just caters to his playstyle of being quite simple and linear without having combo lines. plus you cant say its just experience versus expensive deck when the spyral player likely has as much experience with spyral if not more seeing as spyral has had its core out for years at this point

Here's a simple trick to remember Pot of Extravagance's restriction on drawing:
*Drawing* always counts as adding a card to hand, but *adding* a card to hand doesn't count as drawing.

Adding: determined

The legend lives on! But in what respects do you mean by the SPYRAL player playing badly? Granted I was confused by the Curious summon until I remembered Master Plan couldn't scout the field spell.

Ok. This is gonna be long-winded but here goes. I am not a spyral player so if I say something wrong someone check me but...
1.) Game 1, how in the world does he not otk here? Again, dont play spyral but why not just dump quik fix off foolish, monster reborn, search drones into double helix full combo(obv no resort or sleeper but I mean enough to kill) He hadn't used normal summon so he'd have four link materials for borrelsword off helix confit and snake WITHOUT EVEN DOING ANYTHING. He'd get to master plan anyway guaranteed. Even if he dumps master plan, there had to be a better play (Not sure what without taking time to think about it, Spyral players you tell me on this one).
2) The obvious attempted illegal curious summon. Didn't matter but still speaks to his lack of proficiency.
3) Arguing the extravagance vs. Duality ruling. Like fuck, do I even have to explain this one? Like it's not even a ruling, just a very basic understanding of how cards interact.
4.) Repeatedly activating monster effects under mystic mine. Again, self-explanatory
There's more minor things but I'll stop here. And dude has the audacity to play like he's upset when he's the one losing himself the games

Galaxy-Eyes Knight405 that’s kind of unfair to Jeff. He’s an older dude and probably doesn’t have either the time to invest into learning the combos of “skill” decks or some of the mental dexterity required. But, he enjoys the game and wants to compete, and so he decided to make this deck. Doesn’t really matter if it’s “low skill” at least it’s unique and something different than SPYRAL...
Benjamin Halsted yeah you're right maybe I went to far with my comment. I just don't like decks that don't give your opponent a chance to play and interact. Although I'm a bit of a hypocrite here since atm I'm playing lunalight Kali Yuga but I do side out the pk package games 2 and 3 and rely on apollousa and 1 or 2 rank 4s
@@galaxy-eyesknight4056 tbf the deck is pretty gross but the boards SPYRAL are capable of are just downright broken. Its also not like the MMB strategy isnt beatable the spyral player was just really bad and made horrendous mistakes along the way. I agree with you im not a fan of decks that dont allow others to play but then again i play musketeer so im also a hypocrite...
KillerOstrich If your saying Musketeers is just preventing the opponent from playing, I’d say at least the game is much more interactive vs Musketeers, especially with it being a go 2nd deck. On the other end, both SPYRAL and Mystic Mine Burn rely on only a few interactions to win. The only reason why we’re happy that MMB won is because it was Jeff that won. Also, Tony didn’t help paint himself better with misplays, terrible judge call on extravagance+duality, and the dumb times he tried to use monster effects after he used Jackalope on Game 2.

Alot of Judges suck. I played on a YTS once with Final Countdown (long time ago) and they said i can't activate 2 Battlefader (the 1st got negated) in 1 Battlephase (after their 2nd Monster attacked ofc). I appealed it, still got ruled against me and i lost even though i would win otherwise. Both Judges were friends with my opponent. After that, i quit Yugioh.
@@iLLiDaN30 thats just dirty. I know a dude who lost because his opponent chained el shaddoll fusion into winda against his nibiru. That judge straight up cost him the game because he didn't know how chain links work.

Imhotep Mateen this was a great duel. It was exciting watching the two duelist try to outplay each other. Very tense and came down to the wire.

Should be noted that while field barrier and mystic mine are awesome together, it does have a really big drawback in that if mystic mine is banished or bounced, field barrier will then prevent any further mystic mine plays. Cosmic cyclone, spiritualism, and so on are wonderful, horrible weapons against this deck.

This judge has been horrible. He is on his phone half the time, doesn't care for the game being played, and doesn't know rulings on simple interactions/card text. Thank God Josh was there best judge in Florida
both times curious was played this tournament in the feature matches, he prematurely checked to make sure it was summoned properly. i think he might be on the stream on his phone for a better view on top of having stream chat available.
He’s on the phone because that’s where they keep track of the time since they dont have a visible clock.
Have you considered that he could be looking up card effects too? At least, that's what I usually do for our feature matches
