Happy New Year! Looking forward to seeing your videos for 2024. Question, when you started targeting trout, what kind of water were you searching for? It looked about same as where you caught the reds.
Thank you! I target the numbers/limits of trout on grass edge drop offs. The grass is shallow 1-2 feet and drops off to at least 3-6 feet if not deeper. The solid trout 25 inches plus, I have caught in redfish areas by accident. Redfish areas I fish are really shallow flats/mud less than 2 feet and usually 12 inches or less
Hey Justin, I thought I seen you in a Hoodoo not to long ago. Did you like the pedal drive on it. Is it pretty smooth and holding up to what you put it through. Great vid! Happy new year.
I have the old model tempest. Held up pretty good. I use it as a customer kayak. The new models changed the hull design and I bought one and sold it in 2 months. Very tippy and tracking absolutely sucked! I'm not sure on the impulse. They are more stable but the drive is goofy. Do yourself a favor and spend another grand for a good pedal drive such as old town or bonafide. You'll be happier with the performance. Happy new year!

Hey Brother I have a question. Last couple t8mes I've caught specs. I've noticed they've had like a yellow mustard colored film around their mouths. Have you experienced this and If so what is this stuff. I'm guessing it's from something localized they've been eating or a fungus? Uour thoughts. Happy New Year! Tom
