I am happy that this song exists. It helped me from my suicide, it helped me keep on breathing until I found solace and safety within myself. I am glad to know stuff can help sway a wrong decision.
Probably one of the most underrated bands ever. Their lyrics and vibes are amazing. I literally love this song soo much. I hope to see them in concert someday.

Since 2005 my 3 favorite and most epic songs I've heard are "Always Love" by Nadasurf, "Sweet Disposition" by Temper Trap and now "The Truth". Just an unbelievably beautiful and melodic song with an incredible message. There's no greater gift to the world than beautiful music.
I've been listening to foster the people for more than four years and I remember listening to them and falling in love with their first album. That album was and still is my all time favorite. I would check and see if they would ever come out with music because they were literally my favorite band ever. And in 2014 when they announced their new album I was so happy. The Truth is probably my favorite song from them and it always makes so happy and sad. Last year I was able to go to their concert and that was the best night of my life. If I were to ever meet them I know I would cry my eyes out, telling them how much they mean to me and just hug them. I've never loved a band so much and I had something so special to me.
Mr. Beadle, if you listen to this Band they will definitely give you Hope and inspiration for a future. Hell, I"m 58 and they've changed my life. FTP Is The Music.
fpanpurr I agree! I'm 58 also and love this band!!! Most of the music today sounds the same These guys are so very talented!! The best in a very long time.!!.

Issom is awesome! Glad that he and Sean (the quiet dark-haired guy in the back) have become official members. Too bad they didn't make Phil an official member. He does so much on stage. Awesome group. Love them. The three new songs sound so good. Can't wait for the rest of the album.
When i first discovered Foster the People it was from a vine actually. i didn't really like the vine in it self but the song was amazing. The song = Pumped up kicks (bridge and law remix) , i went down to the comment section and i saw alot of the same questions. What is this song!?! I saw someone commenting the name of the song and i immediately searched for it. I fell in love the song. i had it on loop for 3 months. After 3 months i got sick of it so i just searched for the original. And that was the best day of my life. I discovered the best band ever. Foster the people of course. I was only listening to pumped up kicks and i didn't give the other songs a try. But i got bored of pumped up kicks so i went on too find some of the other FTP songs. I found houdini , call it what you want dont stop and nevermind. I loved those songs so much. I almost knew all the songs form FTP. But then i found the songs that weren't that what can i say , popular? Well i found this. One of the best FTP songs ever made. Why is it so underrated? Why is mark foster so underrated? Why is FTP so underrated? Those are answers we will never get and never understand. FTP has a big fan base though, and its still growing. This is by far one of the best drum performances in any song that I've heard. Those 2 absolutely killed that.
I'm happy to hear it sounds just as good as the recording. Kind of rare nowadays with auto tune and layering vocals.

MY FAVORITE SONG!!!! MARVELOUS
Can't believe this song wasn't going to make it to the album
Its been six years and still it takes my soul away
Omg this is unbelievable. Flying. Soaring. Ecstatic.
Lyrics ♥️
I've been trying to re-learn my name
It seems like a thousand years
I've been out of frame
And I surrender the truth is what
What I've needed from you
I've been floating within your walls of opinion
And I'm tired, I only want the truth
I have tried so hard not to be like them
I have found they don't ever say what they mean
There is a truth, there is a light if you'd follow me there
I've been searching for directions and
I'm convinced the world doesn't know what it needs
There is a hope for the hopeless, I can promise you that
Yeah, well I been accosted
The jury's been partial
But I won't surrender
To prove to you I won't lie
Under pressure of compromise
Yeah well an absolute measure won't change with opinion
No matter how hard you try
It's an immovable thing
Just like the visions in your bed
Or when they're streaming in your head
I have tried so hard not to be like them
I have found they don't ever say what they mean
There is a truth, there is a light if you'd follow me there
I've been searching for the directions and
I'm convinced the world doesn't know what it needs
There is a hope
And I'll come back
If you're needing my hand
The world is so broken
I'm tripping my steps
I'm slipping and I know why
I never thought that I'd be here
A blinding call to prayer
Has touched my feet
Like the call of the prophets
A purpose is needed before you know that you know
To never wonder what you are
And not forget where you come from, yeah, wooh mmm mmm
Well i it really love you've been speaking of?
What'd you say? What'd you say? What'd you say? Yeah yeah What'd you say?
I said that you need me, don't you?
There is a truth, I can promise you that
I have tried so hard not to be like them
I have found they don't ever say what they mean
Yeah , yeah, the truth stands in the end
While you're deciding what to do
The truth stands in the end
While you're deciding what to do
the drums are so fast and intense yet so dim and gentle… absolute magic
This deserves more attention
Look at pontius and isom banging those drums at 3:31-3.43
seriously, two fucking drummers? insane! awesomeness
Their real drummer is the one with the white shirt...the other guy is their live backup members
yeah, but i mean, this sounds so cool!
