They hit the jackpot when they casted her!!!!!💗😄🌹🤓🌞😇🤩
Amy’s Mother “Pat” was the best character ever. Georgia is a comic genius the way she put on that voice and that whole persona. It brought a great deal of humour to the show. It was getting stale just with Frank and Marie and needed other in-law characters to breathe new life into the storylines. If Seinfeld was the show about nothing then ELR was the show about in-laws ( Marie and Frank, Debra’s parents, Amy’s parents and freaky brother) - so many crazy in-laws interfering or just coming and going out of Ray and Debra’s house. That’s where the central conceit in the comedy was. Ray just was never left alone.
I watched the entire show, but in England after the finale finishes (which I only watched first time round) the pilot begins - it just loops all the time. Having a break from it this time round. I have a lot of favourite episodes, all very funny, but some never hit the mark for me, for example the first 3 episodes of the Debra & Marie story whey the fall out - so when they come round I just watch the 4th episode "The Cult" All in all though a very funny show.
