Painting slightly surreal portraits is really satisfying. :) I'd love to share the early stages more - I usually make a lot more thumbnails, for example, though I'd sketched this idea before and lost those sketches thanks to them not being in a sketchbook haha... So hopefully I can share that early stage for a different illustration soon! 🥰

I really liked the one on the top left corner on the second page, but am also drawn to the colours on the on on the bottom of the first page. Altogether lovely art, your work so diciplinely

I always tried to be less "disciplined" because I thought creativity has to be chaos, but now I'm trying to embrace that side of me more. :) The colors on the first page are actually what I want to use as a main color palette - something so beautiful about Burnt Sienna and dark blue shades. 💙

I discovered that gold leaf glued so well on top of acrylics medium like glazing medium, applied and wait for 15 min! You can tint the medium with ink so u can see better if everything is cover!
Oh, interesting! I've definitely stuck some to drying soft gel medium in the past by accident... 😂 I'll have to try that! Do you use a sealer or varnish on top?
I really like your chanel it’s very peaceful! I would love to see more of jeju footage include, since is so diferent from where I live! I got the same hahnemuhle sketchbook from my mom this christimas, it’s so expensive here in my country that I use only for painting (with acrylics, acryl gouache and jelly gouache) is Nice to see someone using it diferently ❤
Thank you so much! The Hahnemühle was quite expensive - and I hadn't even thought about using it for painting, since the paper is quite thin! Glad to hear that works, too, now I want to try... And I'd love to share some more Jeju Island impressions, now that the endless rain and cold of winter are over. 🥰
