And yet Claire never called her on the other thing the mother in law said to Denise directly, about hoping Denise doesn’t treat her marriage like she did with her college career. That was way across the line. My first husband’s mother was like that (he was killed in combat 17 years ago), since he was their only son. No one would have ever measured up to her standards. Ironically he had cheated on me multiple times in our 8 year marriage (11 years dating) but I didn’t learn about it until 5 years after he died. His mom’s response when she found out he was cheating (mind you, she never said a word to me) was “is it because your wife isn’t good enough for you? I’m sure this is her fault.” She kept his dirty deeds to herself until I found out from a third party. So yes, underhanded moms, even fake TV moms, irk the shit out of me. The psychological games and emotional manipulation in waging a perpetual competition with “the other woman”

The concern should be with her son because clearly he makes decision quickly
Aaah, the Claire Glare. That look is a classic!
Clair had to have that Woman to Woman conversation real quick lol it 🤣😂😂
I always loved the furniture they bought for the set.
True legends.inspiring, funny & educational." To change things ,show people how change will look like ".
They were beautiful, classy ,& real strong women. Our time most of the women confuse angery with strong.
@4:49..."Let's pray that Olivia grows up and comes home one day with 3 wives and a dog". It's interesting to look back at these episodes and go "back to the future" to how things really turned out.
I still watch this episode, I absolutely love the way those 2 beautiful black women sat down and talked and got understanding from each other
I could listen to Nancy talk all day
I can see where both mother's are coming from on this matter
I still remember watching this live, and Claire turning her head slow, with that stare. Lmao. The whole house was cracking up.
When Claire gets that look in her eyes, she means business. Run for cover.
Mrs Huxtable reminded me so much of my mom! Soft spoken, classy, but could snap me back in line so quick!! 😂😂
She and I used to watch the Cosby show together. I miss my mom so much.
I have been a mom for over 21 years! This is the first time I've watched this as a mom! 😆 🤣 😂
My daughter will be 21 this year and this is me with her!!
These are the time when they had real good comedy/family show.
The Cosby Show had many, many people on it, including the lovely Nancy Wilson and Angela Bassett. 😊
Miss the Cosby show! Wish they would play it on TV still.
This is one of my favorite scenes out of all of the episodes in the entire running of the show. Two black, beautiful, classy women, resolving a misunderstanding with wisdom, dignity and patience.
Rest in Peace - Nancy Wilson and Moses Gunn.
"I want to thank you because we are the best things that ever happened to them!" Lol I loved the way that was resolved. Get it out in the open, calmly and honestly. Nancy Wilson was a great choice to play off of Phylicia Rashad.
Seriously, I always thought Denise & Martin had zero chemistry and were doomed to fail. Poor Olivia.
Well, if your granddaughter had already been abandoned by her biological mother then her father marries someone he's only known for 2 weeks, wouldn't you be concerned?
@@MARIEANDERSON-eq2ht The concern is with her SON not the woman. Why does he keep meeting and marrying women like this?
