Goa is a overrated place with xenophobic people having inflated ego. In my opinion, Goa is nowhere near south indians states. I lived in goa for 3 years. All I experienced was scams 24x7
If you are visiting goa there are few things to always keep in mind
1. Never drink and drive.
2. If you are riding a bike/scooty always wear a helmet because there are police who will welcome you with open arms in every major spots.
3. Do not litter/ or through garbage.
4. And as Moses said this is not Thailand, anything involving a girl is a scam and might land you in big trouble

My experiences
1. Bike rental was charged 1000 per day
2. Hotel was priced lower in agoda but charged higher on hotel NEST
3. Hukka was overcharged by 200 rupees than agreed price
4. Pub - girls approached for dance and asked for drinks. They dance with you and drink water by pretending it is its vodka and make you pay 500 per shot - just witnessed this
5. Casino- house always wins

Anthor thing is be carefull of other state pocket stealing they steal mobiles so when ever ur in beach or hotel make sure ur phone and wallet are safe or u end up losing phones I also lost my phone but found it after 2 years it was my luck but same thing may not happen to you

Scratch card scam happened with me as well. We wasted our 3 hours. With there presentation and all. Prestigious hotels doing such things are surprising.
They are on all beaches with same tag lines today is the last day. They give 2 cards to couple one will have better luck next time and other will have gift.

I just got scammed before 15 days. I went on Calangute road side. There is a club named devis's bar or something similar like that. They told me they have girls in a bar and that girls do whatever you want for 1 hour in just 2000 bucks. So I paid and after that girl going to drink so many expensive drinks. After that she said pay the bill. And the billing amount was 35000. That was my life's first and biggest scam. In last i got nothing. So guys please stay away from that bars. Specially DEVIL'S BAR.

Most of people visiting Goa have faced traveling problem cost is very high like taxi autos The myth is local don’t use them so whether your tourist or local you are have pay high price . Just e.g for 1.5 km auto fare is Rs100/- if your tourist then it’s even more . hope things improves for best of tourism. So business grow not of one individual but whole communities grows. ❤❤❤

First of all, thank you very much for making my trip to Goa so wonderful. I used every suggestion that you gives in your videos.I stayed at PEDROS GUEST HOUSE it's a nice property as well i loved their hospitality too. I also stayed in THE NEST at palolem that u suggest in your video.
Now the scam part I scamed during water sports they charges for 5 ride but they didn't tell us that Banana ride and bumper ride is closed that time. After that Parasailing time they told that if you want more height and more deep then you have to pay extra 500 for height and 300 for deep each person.They said it is your choice u can also select one and it will be given on the spot. So we bergain then we choose extra height on 450 each.
And the card scacching winner prize also heppend with us but we didn't scamed by them because we didn't listen them🤭

Yes Moses when I visited Goa last time even we faced same thing about coupon. They tell if u win then they take you in their own car make u visit the hotel and you might win a free stay or a lunch or dinner so on…. We always told no but once in mind it was like let me try but thankfully I never fell into it….
It’s happening quite often now
I would like to share a scam, which I ran into. And 64 other people with me got into.
We booked water sports from an agent in Calangute beach. Than they took us to Baina beach next morning. All the sports were going decent. But for parachute sport they kept us waiting in middle of ocean for 2 hours and it was already 5 pm then parachute guys came with parachute for doing that sport. All of us had to refuse doing that sport because it was very late already. So we asked for refund of 1000 rs (we had paid 2000) . We filled complain in police also. Police came but there was no refund. Even police was with them. The whole day was ruined because of that. And we all got scammed

This year Oct 24th also visited thr and this time he made a scam that Activa was dented. He charged 1k for that. Felt bad. But ur doing good job. Keep on bro.

World over Apps like Uber and Ola has created more demand and jobs, you will see in many metros getting a cab is so difficult. Here in Goa, drivers wait whole day at each resort for their one trip. Any decision which helps consumers travel costs is bound to grow. Simply because you come back empty, why should the consumer/tourist be taxed for your return? Think if the app was in place you would have got a return passenger, is that not a win-win situation? No other place in India has this return fare being charged.

@@MosesJSaldanha not really.... Especially some private parking spaces near beaches insist you to park , then by the time you are leaving they'll charge an unreasonable amount (50-60/hr for two wheeler)
And what's the point of a receipt, anyone can print it... I think tourists must use the official parking spaces.

Hey Moses, I am facing this kind of scam. One tattoo person told me 20 rupees per tattoo on Calangute Beach. After the tattoo was done, they asked for a price of 2500 rupees per person for two tattoos, and then I told him in that tattoo person you told me to pay 20 rupees per tattoo. Then the guy lied and told me 20rs/inch tattoo price 😑
20Rs is for temporary tattoo and 300/500 per inch for permanent! It’s not a scam

They first tell that tatoo per inch.... And then they charge length x width... Sq inch.

Ear wax removal scam-I visited goa last month, when i was in baga beach some people came to me and said there is a lot of wax in your ears we clean just for 50 rupees, I said okay, unknowingly they put some stones in my ear and charged 1000 rupees to clear all those stones.

Not about scams, but a very disappointing issue is the treatment and hatred towards tourists by some Goans. Most of the decent goan folks are nice and very humble, but each time I have been to goa in last 20 visits I have witnessed few minority of goans at least once in each trip they consider tourists to be invaders and talk very rudely and even . Sometimes even as simple a thing as parking a vehicle in front of their shop even if you want to purchase a bottle of water. Goa is a tourism run place and tourists are giving them their bread and butter, fail to understand why they talk down people from other states of India especially North. Not all Indians are doing drunk balle balle on the beach. With foreigners I see them being extra cautious and polite because of obvious reason that they stand a better chance of a bigger earning.

No need any permit however take care while driving in Goa, some local guys will come intentionally infront of your car and can ask money or threat you.
