- This time I'm doing a video on my Kawasaki KDX 125 to KX 125 Conversion project. I love dirtbikes and other motorcycles and I also like working with them. That's why I decided to build this bike. You have done a amazing job I use to have a blue one back in 1992 I loved it air I bought it from a insurance write off company for 650 pounds it was only 1 year old it had been stolen and dumped into the docks so it had water damage I did it up like yours had alot of power valve problems but what a bike IAM soon looking for a kmx 125 to do write up for my son I will be using some of your modifications to the tank and plastics you really now what you are doing well done

I do like the black side plate filler panel on the right. Would've liked seeing one on the left to match.
What an interesting project. How and why did you end up selecting 2006 body parts? Huge gap between 91 and 06. I had never heard of a 91 kdx125 before. Great job on the project.
You used the breaking pomp as a clutch pomp? it is working good? I wanna do the same in my dr 350

@Zekc Salut oui j'en ais une de la même année et il me semble que les fixations sont les même après si ta pas un énorme budget tu peux trouvé des housses de selles plutôt sympa parce que la selle d'une kdx à un meilleur confort qu'une selle de kx plus récente ( pour la selle de kx 2006 je vais quand même me renseigner pour pas te dire de connerie)

Did the forks bolt straight on? or did you need to make custom spacers/stem?

From which was the kdx? Because i want to adapt 03 plastics in 98 kx but i dont know if the tank would adapt on the frame

Thanks! It cost me about 1700-1800 Euros which is about 2000 dollars. I've seen other bikes like this and they go for about 3000 Euros.

What headlight do you use?
Great build. Firstly, is the engine a KDX 125? or a KX? If the engine is a KDX, I believe the powerband will be totally different from that of a KX.
From memory, the KDX has a much more mild powerband, while the KX has a much more aggressive power band.
Thanks! It has a kdx engine but pretty much everything has been modified except the gearbox. The cylinder head and the piston are from a kx 125. The cylinder head has also been shaved. The cylinder is original but it has been ported. The bike also has Boyesen reeds and a free flow airfilter. Nowadays it also has a PWK 36mm carb, and a Big One (the name of the brand) performance exhaust. The rear sprocket of the bike is also quite big so the ride is pretty aggressive 😅

Onko miltei identtinen tuo kdx runko kx rungon kanssa että meneeköhän kx keula, swingi ja takahäkki helposti kiinni ilman suurempia muutoksia? Tiedän olen myöhässä mutta arvostaisin suuresti jos jaksaisit vastata😅
Swingi menee suoraa kii, takahäkkoä ei voi lähtee vaihtaan kun kdx rungossa on kiinteä takahäkki rungossa kiinni. Jonkun vuosimallin kx keula tais mennä suoraa runkoon ja joissain tarvi erilaiset ohjauslaakerit. Koneen saa myös suoraa kxstä kdx runkoo

Did you need the Kx tank to fit the plastics? Or would it be possible to fit them onto the kdx tank?
I've seen people do it before. I think it's possible but I haven't tried it myself. You might have to drill new holes in the plastics though.

I think I ordered it on Ebay.com. The decals came from America. And this particular sticker kit is for a 2006 KX125.
