Designed to MOVE during high winds, so the upper shoulder beam to roof needs extra attention to have sag rods that similar to shock absorber with no metal buckling at the shoulder. The bottom outter beams also WALK outward, so they need to be tied IN to connect to the adjacent beam on the other side of the floor with rebar.
I have one question sir, should the sag rod consider tension and compression load, or the sagrod just only consider tension load, so we have setting de compression limit (at SAP2000) as zero?
Thank you. Please when u use a box section let's say 100mm x 50mm x 2.5mm rectangular pipe section as your purlines do u need to install sag rod. Lets say for a 36m x 100m structure roof. Thanks
No-one else creates videos like this and all of the explanations. Deeply appreciated 🙏
Glad you like it 🙏
Really helpful, thanks for the explanation.
Glad you like it 🙏
What a wonderful explanation
Thankyou sir
The way of your teaching with all the images and explanation is just awesome
So nice of you
Amazing sir ,deep knowledge.
Glad you like it 🙏

Thank you, Brilliant
You're welcome!
I always used it in my steel drawings cos ma boss tell me to i but never really kno the purpose......thanks much my friend
Wow..now you are a bit closer to your Boss... 🙏

when do we use C-purlins? and is it stronger than Z-purlins?
will you be ale to do one video exclusively on design forces to be considered for pipe rack design ? This video is very much useful.
Definitely
Thank you sir. How can you identify the size of the sag rod depending on roof span?
It's based on the maximum slender ratio allowed in your Code.
sir , where can i get the image u refered in your video @10:15 seconds
WHAT PROPERTIEY SHALL I ASSIGN TO SAG ROD AS PER INDIAN CODE

No in . Z purlin distortion may happen. RHS section is stiff enough
eally helpful
🙏
This is really helpful. Could I ask which code are you following when designing steel structures? Is it the British code?...Thank you bro ☺
It depends on the country for which you are working
Sir ,can you please share cantilever z purlin design
Sir please explain UNT UNB etc.. parameters that we use in steel structure
Ok
Sir sag rod ka business kesa perform kart hai market mai
Good
Bhai meine dekhi first video😂
😀
just use c purlin problem solved
