Just found you. Good work. On the drywall dust issue with the shop vac, i zip tie 2 socks ( one inside the other) to the exhaust port. That seeems to take care of anything that the filter misses. Sometimes ill even wet down the socks for even more effectiveness.
Well you may not want that gap the manufacture asked for but refrigerators need room to breath. Time will tell if you regret that decision. 100 percent built in's have accommodations for being so. Proper maintenance of modern refrigerators coils/cooling is a must. One other note, I hope you replaced that saddle valve for the water connection, I'm not sure it ever was code but in most parts it's not anymore. Honestly, it's my opinion that true engineers; listen to engineers that built the product and take their installation advice. A backdoor breather should have been retrofitted in this senario. No question, it does look good.
