Mi memba a did mek stews peas wid chicken and it was bad . Mi love. Mi see yuh used the drumstick chop him up . Mi have stew peas yesterday loves.
To This day I still make this . Love it bad . Glad u taste it before Suh yuh know to seh it sell off . Don’t get me wrong though I absolutely love me some stew peas with pigstail . It’s maybe my second favourite meal😉

Which and which season you use season up the chicken before you put it in the pot?
Hey Maria , use anything that you normally use to season your chicken. . I’m not sure where you are but use your chicken seasoning ( or all purpose , you can even use both 😉) add some onion powder , garlic powder and some salt if your chicken seasoning don’t have salt in it .
I sometimes even put a little bit of jerk seasoning in it . Thanks for asking , hope it helps , God bless you 😊
why fry / brown the chicken
Hi Kira , if u don’t want to u don’t have to , if u use liquid browning then u can just put the liquid browning on it. The frying / browning of the chicken gives it that beautiful colour . I also like doing it that way where I caramelise( melt ) the sugar & then add the chicken to it because it gives it an amazing flavour & of course that beautiful colour . But U don’t have to do that . However if u don’t have any liquid browning & u don’t brown the chicken then of course the chicken is going to look white in the stew peas 😉.
