This is not a storm Brunswick nor hammer motiv ball review bowling ball video - Sport
Shoutout to Delta Bowl and also the Weekend Builders CZcams channel who also made a bowling ball like this. I had to try it out for myself since I actually bowl

1 day ago but it came out 21 hours ago? Damn took a while to click the upload button on CZcams 😂
i think you could have made a mold of the first mold...i think lol
The flat spot can be avoided if you dam around your poor point and poor it higher than the top of the mold it's the same principle as plugging the ball to re-drill it.
Now glue the clone back together and bowl a game with that lol

Industrial strength resin glue

LMFAO
For all you DIYers out there, cutting silicone molds to get your mold split line is totally fine. Much easier than excavating a bowling ball out.
The first half of this video was borderline Rated-R😂
Forrest knows what the video is about now 🥳🥳
Facts lol
NC-17 or X
Those who know:
Second half really was at 15:37
I'm 100% down to see another of these with a core in it. This was fun!

What kinda gta side quest did you just activate 😭

I think the flat spot is because the ball wasn’t suspended in the mold. Guessing the ball was sitting on the bottom of the box.
im convinced she was a gta npc LOL
Lmao, ikr
She needs to be hired for a gtavi npc
My first thought was you missed a perfectly good opportunity to create a second cat.
Then I saw how you removed the ball from the mold and I decided to retract that thought.
I know bowling isn’t the most popular and bowling videos usually are not that popular but this guy is one of the hardest working CZcamsrs ik and legit he definitely deserves more!!
I love your imagination and passion going into you channel. Did you get to try out the chocolate? lol
"I do love chocolate" same brother
When you sat it in the bottom of the cardboard box without a spacer I was thinking.. "that's gonna have a flat spot".
Prop it up on a pizza box table / pizza saver and would be easy to cut and sand off the little legs 👍👍
@@larrytobis9161I would just drill a hole in the ball and have it suspended by a rod
@@dillzilla4454 The ball wasnt destroyed when he started so that idea was prolly not valid at the time of starting this
@@ambiarock590 except that's the way to do it. You can always plug the hole, or put it where a finger hole is going to be
I assumed that ball wasn't drilled, so plug the hole
A couple suggestions for future ball casting.
Drill a locator pin hole for each half of the mold, one in each equator of the ball. Fabricate a pin with base to fit the hole snuggly, but not and interference fit. Make the pins enter ball at least 3", but ideally 4".
Stand ball on pin and pin base in box. Pour first half of mold. Let cure.
Insert 2nd pin, which should be identical to 1st pin. Use silicon, graphite, or some other non reactive, non-silicone soluble/miscible lubricant on the mold face, to keep the 2 halves of mold from bonding (can also use paper/cellophane)
Pour 2nd half, let cure.
Separate 2 halves of mold easily due to the barrier, remove ball.
Granted, I forgot to add a pour cup. So maybe just pin 1 side and a cup on the other....
The locator pin allows you to develop a core and suspend it.
I'd suggest molding something with epoxy and tungsten for ease of casting and drilling. Have a buddy 3d print negatives of weight block and outer core, to make a mold. Include a locator pin in both.
Have fun on the adventure of "try and see" bowling ball design.
Don't forget glass beads for outer core shell. Weigh raw materials or you may end up with a 40lb ball.......
Id love a part 2 of this video to improve the homemade ball. Id suggest leaving the huge lump in the ball after pulling it out of the mold, and getting rid of that chunk with a pro shop drill since they have drill bits to make the ball surface perfectly round. These are the bits you use after filling in a chip or a finger hole, fill it in and then drill to make the surface smooth again
Obviously minimal research was done prior to the making of this video.
Yes we want to see another homemade ball with no flat spot and if you can do a core hell yes
Michael is gonna take this concept and run with it and it’s gonna be awesome 😎
This video is a good demonstration of what a core does
Let's put the core in it!
Id love a part 2 of this where you improve upon the procedure. Maybe suspending the ball in the mold using a pin, and using a pro shop drill bit to make the surface perfectly round
Freakin sweet, I've been wanting to see someone make a homemade ball. Can't believe you actually did it
“Cloning the clone” simply cracks me up right at the start 😂You are amazing man! Thanks for sharing indeed great job!!❤
When the epic music stops, and the ball just thuds it's way down the lane had me dying of laughter... quality content as usual dude haha.
It's funny that you use a pic of Rihanna for an African American lady, but she is in fact from Barbados 😂
Bowling Companies hate him for this one simple trick!
part two for sure! Also stuffing random stuff in there would be unique, kinda like the glove ball or others that were made in limited quantities. Might need a more clear resin though.
A little coloring in between resin pours maybe? could be cool.
Insane effort put into one video 220. I would love to see a homemade ball with a core
I do love chocolate 😂😂
Definitely needs a core and an outer shell for the core. And maybe some paint and some additives for the resin so its you know reactive. This should definitely be a series. Earned a like💪
When you mold the 2nd half you need to put a release agent on top of the bottom half
so the molds will come apart easy. Also when you mold the bottom you need to flip
it so you can mold the open part of the ball. I only know this because my son
does molding of items and ive learned from him.
.
Was wondering where the mold release was. lol. I could watch you do stuff that youve never done before all day. A for effort! i cant stop laughing
As you mentioned at the end, need to change how the mold it made to get rid of the flat spot. The box is a soft surface so it would sink into the Cardboard, need a firm surface to reduce the edge.
Also Find a ball that is slightly larger (New not worn) Even light sanding will reduce the overall ball size. Us that for the mold you can then sand it slightly(put it on a lathe) to remove a small edge.
Should be interesting to see what comes from your next mold.
This is essentially what i really want to do but i just dont have the time or money. I would love to see you make an improved homemade one with a couple suggestions:
Prop the ball slightly up with something small for it to sit on before pouring the first half of the silicone mold. Something like a flat sanded bottle cap. That way the potential flat spot that you'll sand away will be much smaller and less likely to cause an inconsistent roll.
Also, definitely do not forget to put mold release on the first half and the ball before doing the second half, that way you can actually pull it apart when its cure.
It would also be absolutely dope if you put in something that weighs about 3 pounds for a core. You could use almost anything you want, including your own design, that way it would actually have some flare.
You could do mica powder with the resin so that way it looks prettier too lol. Another option for stronger motion is to use entirely ball filling material that people use to plug and redrill equipment. I believe its urethane material so you'll get much more motion i would assume.
Overall really cool to see someone else try this. I would love to see it done with a weight block in it though, which is what i would do since i have a couple of my own designs for weight blocks.
it would be awesome to see a home made ball with a core - but that's pretty sick that you made that one
Best Bowling Video I have watched in many many many moons. Wholesome content right here.
Love these experiments ! You definitely need to do another with a core. I would like to see you use 2.5lbs of pennies (maybe glue them into a fun shape)
That's 2 swords featured in videos now.
I do like swords
I LOVE your cat too! ❤❤❤
Ok, now you're my favorite bowling CZcamsr.
It was probably at least 4x as expensive as buying a ball full retail plus drilling at an out of state tournament, but if you ever had the wild hair, you should make one without a flat spot, and put a weight block in it. Like a solid 3lb rectangle to get the weight to 15
The huggbees reference is awesome.
My brother in Christ that box looked like it was hanging on for dear life XD
Do another video with the ball with the core in it.That was really funny. Also, as I sit here in my "Bowling Shirt" that always gets laughs at my league,,, thanks for the design bro....
I can't wait for the video where Michael makes his own bowling ball but it's the correct shape
Of course we want to see that! (you making another ball)
Good work, brother. that didn't look easy. Bowled a great game with it, too
He’s finally done released the video, my king
This is a great video. You also have outstanding comedy timing. Good on ya and have fun learning by doing!

Beastchild:" Tonight on Smmn we would like to thank this weeks donors" 💀
Yes. I would like to see you make a ball without the flat spot & if you’re still thinking to make a core that would be an additional experiment. Its just a thought but I’ll wager you can design your own core with modeling clay. Fire it in an oven to harden it. Then cast the core same method as your ball. Then throw at least three games with the new ball. I know it will be a lot of work for you, but wow what a great video you’ll make. Who knows; it would be great if Brunswick will be asking you to be on their design team shortly there after. Good luck. I hope you can make it happen.
I know in a couple of girls over the years that would say something like that. That would have been (was?) a wild good time ! 👹
Awesome vid! What an effort, hats off
That hurts just you breaking the ball
That was incredible! Worth the wait!
One of the best vids you've ever made!
With your old mold, I thought about that flat spot right from the beginning. If you just turn the mold over after it dries, you could put the ball back in and THEN pour back over the flat spot to complete the nice, completely round mold. Won't have to make an entire new one then.
Fun video. Makes me want to make my own ball too!
The hammer slo-mo 🤣🤣🤣. Videos are definitely inspiring, keep it up
Best bowling content out there!
Getting ready to out the door to bowl....of course. I can't wait to see the whole thing....a carboard box...ehhhhhhh will it hold up? Oh my....ok we stayed and watched. OMG 🤣🤣🤣
LOL. This whole video was a mess but it turned out okay
Yup...Need one made with an undrilled ball and a weight core. You could also make it a little larger (8.75") and have someone use a sphering machine to get a really clean looking ball at 8.595".
Yes definitely keep working on it! I think you will eventually make a good ball that gets you at least 220!💪🏼 Can’t wait to see what you decide to use for a core!🤔
Please do this with a core and without the flat spot, this was so cool
Also please get another Clone
Hands down the coolest vid you’ve made! 🔥
that little sound pop around 2:20 scared the shit out of me lol
Thank you for curing all My what ifs and Curiosities of bowling
The 220 Special: When it doubt, grab the drill.
I love the content you put out! Very fun! Please do another home made ball video! I was bummed you didn't put a core in it.
Id love to see another ball without the flat spot and with a core. Maybe you could also take the coverstock material from the clone, crush it up into a powder, and see what that does to the resin?
Not the Huggbees reference 😭😭😭😭
This video is chaos and I’m here for it!
1000% come back with the flat spot fixed and a unique shaped core.
Do it again but put mold release/release agent on the ball and between the two halves. Throw in some food coloring when mixing. Get a two pound chunk of something to place inside for a core. Use a ball spinner and 500 grit to finish it.
Im surprised you didn't use a crappier ball for the mold 💀
Same. I think he was going for the clone joke but that is some expensive humor. 😂
A company should team up with a CZcamsr to create a unique 1 of a kind ball with whatever new core the CZcamsr wants. It doesn't even have to be within any rules or specs. Just make one crazy ball for a video and that's it. It would be a great promo for the company. Maybe Storm can talk to 220 Average Bowler and he can create a legit ball?
Would throwing a backup ball hit the flat spot tho?
Respect man, that seems like alot of work for a bowling ball. I appreciate the effort for our entertainment.
This video should be part of the "How Its Made" documentary series! Well done and very entertaining dude!
The problem was making a silicone mold on an old ball instead of buying an industrial grade spherical rigid standard mold. You also needed the mechanical pro shop rounding polishing tool to finish it. Use the pro molds next time. Thanks.
Well now that you have one, I have more ideas with it. Sand it to 180 and throw it, have a really high rev bowler throw it, shine that ball up and so much more
Seriously, great game and excellent execution ❤. You are cool!
Now do one with a core, youll have to suspend the core with a string from the top when you do the first half of the ball and remove the string for the second half!
the beginning of the video💀💀💀
Hahahaha! Called it! Also nice work on the mould.
Very entertaining and fun to watch. Thanks for posting this.
Nice! You should also add something to that resin like carbon black or some other powder to help it grab for the next one!
One thing I always want to try is to make a wooden ball with a simple core using a dense wood! We all know wood absorbs oil so if the new wooden ball is simply sanded, maybe it would have a similar reaction to resin?
He has a wooden ball video on the channel but it's an antique ball and not homemade.
@@theinsaneshecklador6598 exactly! Packy in the House had one as well.
@@Jbmccain86 Yep.
The actual last pour had me DYING 😭💀
I like the idea of you trying again, especially with a core. Maybe get a hold of some urethane? How you'd make just a coverstocj of just Urethane is beyond me, but maybe just an entire ball made of the stuff? Lol
I suggested using the material for plugging bowling balls, since that's urethane. Only makes sense you could make a whole ball out of the stuff. And he could add mica powder to make it look prettier than the dull piss yellow look lol.
xD loved the Wii bowling announcer incorporation to the video 😂👏 do you still bowl PBA tournaments by chance?
As someone who has watched thousands of bowling videos. This is probably the coolest one I’ve ever seen.
"I was distracted by the chocolate" lol!! Holy shit that got me
16:37 seeing this thing produce carry is so surreal lmao
Yes please make some more bowling balls, very cool video!!! Thanks for edumacation 😂!!!!
14:12 When I went to 2 hands that’s how I was bowling. In my opinion the top perk of 2 hands is crazy wrist angle and action but not too much pressure on my one wrist to actually keep the ball in the right spot the whole motion
Michael, you are a Creative Genius ! I wonder a Core in the shape of a Dumb Bell you use to do wrist curls. In theory, the heavy ends could cause the Bowling Ball to pick up speed as it travels down the Lane. Outstanding Video. Forrest can do the same with his Storm IQ, or would that Clone be a Lower IQ ? he he he Paul
Outstanding video really enjoyed it, I saw two problems with this ball, the first one obviously was that flat spot LOL. You needed something to suspend the ball from the bottom to prevent that from happening, but you did say in this video you think you know how to fix that problem already. Next no type of weight block inside the ball would love to see you design your own weight block i.e., a design that's not been used inside a ball yet and put it inside your homemade ball and see how that works out for you. Would also like to see you add some color to the ball like maybe do some kind of a tie-dye type of deal if you know what I mean, would just like to see you use some colors that have not been used yet in bowling balls that would be cool don't you think? Anyway, we'll be looking forward to your next homemade bowling ball video, keep up the GREAT work.
I love that the mold cloned the clone logo as well.
I had a feeling this was the video. Lol but this is fucking legit dude
This was a fun vid! Yes, let’s see another!! 😊
I'd love to see you do another video with a core and fixing the flat part problem
What if you filled that whole cube of mold with Tungsten like you used for the 23 pound ball and then covered it with a thin layer of the epoxy? I wonder how heavy of a ball you could make that way.
This is too cool! Maybe if you were to leave the ball on a resurfacing machine, it might round out the ball a little more?
Fun story: a local news outlet liked to put interesting youtube videos at the bottom of articles on Friday.
They usually did How It's Made eps. They put one of Huggbees videos on the page by accident. Karens got mad.
🤣
Did the resin ball absorb oil or did it just lay on the cover?
the interaction actually made me lol 🤣
