Another beauty, Mark, you really made this piece of your own. I love what you did with a silicone and just that you have little tricks up your sleeve to bring every piece up to the next level. Your entire presentation is very calming and soothing with your sweet and gentle voice. I think people would follow you anywhere...
Glad you enjoyed it and wow thank you so much for your kind words 🤩
I love the peacefulness of Mark’s tutorial. No annoying music. Beautiful result 🤗

It's evening now & I just now got to watch this video. I absolutely Love It !! It's such an earthy look. I love all the colors. Great job Mark & pulling out the silicone drops at the end added such character to the piece. U never cease to amaze me.
Thank you so much!! ☺️
Oooo love how you did the silicone on this piece. It really made a difference made it so peaceful and pretty.

Ja mit Silicon kann man tolle Muster zaubern, lässig geworden.👍👏💖🙏🙋🏼♀️🇨🇭
Thank you so much ☺️
I’m not a big fan of cells, but on this piece they added a lovely touch and didn’t take over. As always thank you for sharing your artwork and your soothing self. Big hugs from an island in Washington State, USA.
You are so welcome! Aww thank you so much Carole 🤩🤩🤩
Wow, it's so beautiful, reminds me of oyster and clam shells🥰
This is simply fabulous, Mark. Adding the silicone has given a new dimension. Gorgeous. ❤
Thanks so much 😊
Mark, this piece is gorgeous! I love the details that silicone oil brings to a piece!
Thank you very much!
Good morning from northern NY Mark. I love painting on wood panels. I have found a coat of gesso or mat varnish on the panel first helps not to get micro bubbles come up from the wood as it dries. Beautiful creation my friend..
Thank you so much for the tip! I appreciate that! First time working with wood 🪵
Hello Mark wonderful subtle colors. Adding the silicone made it looks like Flower Fossils in Rock. Beautiful just Amazing ❣️
Thank you Daisy 🤩🤩🤩

You’re very welcome Judy. Thank you 🤩
It is lovely Mark. Very serene in the presence of silicone…
I think you added enough to enhance it softly.
Thank you 🤩 I appreciate you always watching and supporting me
You must be reading my mind because I just pulled out my shadow board. Only im planning on painting the top. Absolutely gorgeousness!!! ❤❤
Go for it! 🤩
This piece makes me smile! ❤
Aww thank you!! 🤩
Wow!!! After adding the silicone this turned out amazing. I’m going to have to try this.
You should! Hope it goes well 🤩
Good morning Mark ☕️
The results are fab!
Thank you Carla 🤩
Silicone may be a bit difficult to handle, I agree with you, Mark. But the effects are just beautiful, aren't they? Your flowers on the pretty base (great choice of colors!) just look super cute :)) The whole thing turned out just great 😍
Many thanks Petra 🤩🙏
Mark: "So I've got a little bit of green..." - Me: "That's not enough." 😂😂😂
Those colours are awesome, so natural. I loved the design before you torched it. Then I thought "Oh pity, so many little cells". But after you did the silicon drops, the end result came out very pretty. I love the cells where the green came to the top and the whole piece looks gorgeous 🖒💖
🤣🤣🤣 thank you 💚💚💚
Such a beautiful pour! I loved the added cells!
Thank you so much!
I ❤ watching your videos and your voice and energy really calms me down after another hot day in Perth, Western Australia😊
Wow, thank you!! I loved Perth when I visited many years ago. Send the heat this way haha 🇬🇧
That’s gorgeous!!! I love that technique. I have done it several times. In a circular pattern starting in the middle all the way to the edges. That ends up looking a little like stained glass. & then following a “flow” line of one the colors. That is more random & organic. I tried the little flowers once & it was fun too!! I need to do it with a lot of metallics like you did!!! That’s just stunning!!!
Thank you so much! Great to hear what you’ve tried too. Thanks for sharing 🤩
Super pretty. Love all the shimmer!
Thank you! 🤗
This is AWESOME Mark!!! I hant seen any of your vodeos for a while 😢, but finding this one was 🎉😅❤!!! I LOVE the colours & the silicon drop technique is brilliant!! Really interesting & something I really hope to try one day! THANK YOU!!😊❤❤
Awesome! Thank you!🙏
Giving me vintage fabric vibes.
I love how the colours come through when dotted with silicone.another beautiful piece.❤😊
Thank you! 😊
Wow. This is work is so beautiful. Maybe try blues and greens. 💙💚
Thank you, I will 💙💚
Beautiful looks like flowers 🌸
Thanks so much 🤩
Great idea Mark I love the way is looks dried 👍
Thanks 👍
Sooo beautiful ,and the color wow nice work ❤
Thanks so much 😊
Unexpected results 👏🙂
Thank you 🤩
Love the color palette. It turned out beautiful. Maybe do a video of how you clean the silicone off. I’m still not comfortable using silicone because of the cleaning process. Thanks.
Yeah I’m not a huge fan of silicone either 👍🏻
Gorgeous piece Mark❤❤❤❤
Thank you kindly 🤩🤩
Oh wow I love it. This my kind of work. I love paint boards but they are little more expensive. I haven't tried the silicone drops yet but soon. Thanks for everything you have shown us. I am trying to get the nerve to make a video so maybe soon.
Thanks so much 😊 Good luck with your first video
Hey Fabulous result ,very subtle colouration fella cheers from Kev In Oz.
Thanks so much Kev 🤩
Hi Mark I am a new watcher I have noticed you have a good eye for colour mixing better than some similar channels I am really enjoying your channel.
Welcome! And thank you so much for all of your kind support. I hope you continue to enjoy what I create
Love this, great job !!!!!!
Thank you so much ☺️
it turned out really good. I thought it was going to be muddy. someday take a brush old one. dip it in a tray than put in on a flip cup pour. painting. get a oval one with those plastic bristles. Also balloon kiss,
Not sure what you mean? Balloon dips coming soon 👍🏻
dip it in a tray of silicone. the bristles on a brush. than press it on a flip cup pour. like you do with a toothpick. its a lot of little circles at once if you do it right. I don't know how to put it in words. you can always pour silicone back into bottle. Its hard to explain.

Hello Mark!!
Un imprimé riche, chic and swell 😄🎉
Bon week-end à toi cher Mark!! 💚💙💜
Thank you so much ☺️ I hope you have a great weekend too 💜
Lovely
Thank you 🤩

Thanks again Mark ,as a newbie I didn’t realise that you have to clean the painting before varnishing after using silicone, what should I clean it with please, I really liked the finished piece it now has much more depth, fantastic.
Glad you enjoyed it. Soap and water works well. I use a cleaner that takes grease away (the silicone is an oil so you will need a soap that is good with oil based)
love it, with what you clean the service from the silicone.
I like your peaces and explanations, thanks Conny from the Netherlands
You are so welcome, thank you Conny. I’d clean the pieces with soap and water and a touch of window cleaner or cleaning alcohol
Love the shimmer in this piece and the composition is amazing. How did you like working on the wood panel? Haven’t talked myself into investing in them yet. Have a great weekend
Thanks Carla. Not a fan of wood tbh… I’ll be sticking to canvas 👍🏻

Hi Mark, thanks so much for all your beautiful videos, you’re my pouring guru 😊 can I ask what brand of silicone you used? I’m having a few issues getting them to work, thanks so much 🙏
Thank you so much! I use a silicone by Pebeo
So effective. I love the colours. Almost Klimt - like with the Gold. When you say you need to wash it after the use of Silicone ? What do you mean by this please ?
You can’t seal a piece with silicone in it as the varnish wouldn’t stick as it’s like having oil in the paint
Love the colours...suggestion....you could have tried a balloon kiss. Ex Gilly Kube
Great suggestion. I have some balloon dips coming up in future pieces 🤩
I loved how the colors came through when you added the silicone. I also love the design it made. You mentioned before you varnish the final piece, you must wash the piece. May I ask what you use to wash it? Is it normal dishwashing liquid or is there a special washing material you use? Thanks for any info you can provide. It really came out beautiful! Denise ❤
Thanks Denise - just soap and water and maybe some cleaning alcohol - I’m not a fan of silicone so don’t tend to use it as it’s a real pain cleaning 🤩
Great piece Mark ☺️
Can you suggest an alternative to silicone please? I only use pva glue as my medium. Many thanks 🙂
@@user-su1if3vp1lthank you ❤ not sure of any alternatives that have same effect
Mark, I think you have used Australian Floetrol in the past. Would you mind telling me if you imported or if you somehow somewhere buy it in the UK. Thank you 👍
I import direct from Australia from the Wholesale Paint Group 👍🏻
That is really lovely. Did you like pouring on the wood panel? Unfortunately, your mention of the marmalade color instantly made me hungry so I'm off to toast an English muffin and will slather some marmalade all over it. Cheers!
🤣🤣🤣 that’s funny - to be honest wood was ok but I do prefer canvas
@@MarkJRatcliffeArt Good to know!
How unusual. There’s a slight antique look with the colours. What do you use to clean off the silicone please 😊
@@sandranaylor536 I just use soap and water 👍🏻
How did you prepare the board for the paint?
I didn’t… it was primed upon purchase
What exactly is the silicone?
Curtesy of Google… They are typically colorless oils or rubber-like substances.
