My first flight over an ocean was Lufthansa from NYC to Frankfurt & the calm announcements from the pilots over the intercom took the edge off of my nervousness.

These two guys were so relaxed and calm. My best wishes for the future Captain Raps. When I was a flight student about 20 years ago, I was very lucky and had such a retired senior Lufthansa Captain as a flight instructor.
From this video, wow, Germany looks like a beautiful place to live. those small towns are my favorite. plenty of green space.
Frankfurt and everything around it is quite green, greener as usual. On the other hand, you can only walk out of one town for like a mile before you bump into the next one. The region is highly populated so you need the green forests to balance that out.
I was landing in Munich in October and the countryside was very beautiful. Perfectly laid out small towns, very clean and well organized.

New to CZcams, but this was recorded at six years or more ago. The runway they landed on was 25R then, but was renamed 25C around 2012 when the 4th runway was added, which became the new 25R. Fun facts!

So impressed by any pilot of the A380...This was so enjoyable watching from the cockpit and the editing from different angles only added to the experience... I've flown in to Frankfurt on a Singapore Airline twice..Once headed for Singapore and then back to JFK..I love the A380 and make a point of choosing my flight based on that plane...thanks for the video..

I took my 1st commercial flight from Frankfurt on Lufthansa to München back in 1961. I was stationed up in Giessen, flying down to spend time with my sister who was stationed in München it was a two engine prop job. ah, how times have changed. Watch Capt Rap's landing in San Fan cisco also. they are the epidemy of professionals. thank you for your service Capt. and an enjoyable video and for sharing. .

What a difference between EU and USA ATC's! So kind
I have definitely noticed a sort of mandatory politeness especially in the UK and Ireland. But then America is operating under different laws and regulations and by nature of popular videos we mostly see the busiest airports.
There is a scene from a pilotseye film where the captains translation was "they certainly speak very *fluently* , and don't like you to ask for a repeat". I wonder if any transatlantic pilots could weigh in on this?
USA-ATC usually is way more relaxed than the German ATC and also very friendly.

What a wonderful flight experience, taking part in landing a an A380! Good to see these 2 pilots shaking hands after a successful flight.
I believe 'taking offs' & 'landings' are the most risky operations encountered by pilots.
Having said that, We salute the people who are responsible for ensuring the safety of the planes..............
The words to ponder from Capt. Raps. ...Stress is only known for inefficient people...
