The best of this mix is how perfectly it fits kefka's personality
so many VGM dubstep mixes fail to work because the tone of the original music doesn't fit at all with dubstep's sound.. This piece is an awesome exception. Great job and great track selection. Kefka's theme was always one of the best in VI. NOW.. time to make a request for a dub-remix of one other FFVI track: Devil's Lab.. I'll be your best friend..

FFVI is the original Japanese game. It was renamed FFIII in the States due to the last two NES games never making it here. Therefore, it was the third installment in the States.
There was no "hard mode." The two versions are virtually identical except for most of the names of characters, items, etc. and some minor graphic tweaks. You might be thinking of FFIV which if I recall was made much easier for the American version (and also name changed to FFII).

Kefka was the only other villian that might have rivaled sephiroth ithink, the last battler had you use every fighter you get in the game an was three stories high an you had to take em one at a time .....plus he caused armegedon.... i love that game

I have to say, While Sephiroth was ultimately just powerful and badass, Kefka was an absolute lunatic and definitely the darkest of the villains. I liked Sephiroth, I was fucking scared shitless of Kefka.

Technically it is both, I have a copy of the game and it is FFVI (North American copy) but the game was rebranded as FFIII to be less confusing later on.
I know but to me I can't take it being called VI because a lot of kids actually only barely played the game when it came out on DS and that really irritates me because it was my favorite game growing up along with Super Metroid & A Link To The Past. One thing I hope most of us can agree on though is that this is the best Final Fantasy. The only other Final Fantasies I would consider on par with it are of course VII and IX.
TheMetalBiwee came out on gba too, that's when I played it. I think it was called 6 on gba.
It was also released on an anthology ps1 game I believe.

Imagine if they made a new FF game situated a few years after the events of FF3/6 where Kefka is revived, infused with Esper magic or something like that. And this time not only destroys the world, but even wins in the end. Like there would be no happy end, Kefka wins and that's it. Everyone dies, world is doomed, armageddon falls and any remaining survivors just become his slaves. Just picture it, the whole game you've known he's back and more powerful than before. Imagine the tension of having to fight him again, this time even maxed out characters wouldn't help. Of course before you get to him, you'll have to explore the whole world, level up, get stronger, the usuals. And then, you get to Kefka, you fight him for minutes on end, the screen starts to flash, it starts getting dark, then just before fading away a loud NO comes out and Kefka goes berserk, wiping out your entire party and all your friends, then siphoning the rest of your energy to bring about the end of the world AGAIN, this time harder. And the game ends with Kefka sitting on his throne in his castle atop the only mountain left...

+vinnie5241 I think this would be cool with an "alternate ending" mechanic, but i dont think it should be the only ending. It would just cause the player to waste their time. While that isnt really unrealistic, it makes for a pretty disappointing gameplay experience.
that would be terrible. the entire ending of that game hinges on magic being erased from the world. that is the price paid by the world so it can move on from the war of the magi and the world of ruin. if you want a true tragic tale, just have a war monger rise up who brings terror and destruction in spite of there being no magic. you don't need anything but some bombs, bullets and a sadistic leader to turn the world of ruin tragic. no need to step all over the story up to that point.

Definitely. X is really overrated in my opinion. I honestly liked XII better then any of the others after IX. But I haven't played XIII VERSUS which looks way sick but I don't have a PS3. XIII had to be the worst for me though.. -.-
