Sprinters Go On The Attack! | Classic Brugge-De Panne 2023 Highlights - Men
VloĆŸit
- Äas pĆidĂĄn 21. 03. 2023
- The UCI WorldTour returns to Belgium for the 2023 Classic Brugge-De Panne. Despite taking place entirely in Flanders, the 218.2km parcours bypasses the fabled cobbled climbs of the region, instead being characterised by the wind that whips in off the North Sea coast. It's on paper a day for the sprinters, but when potential crosswinds are on the menu, a bunch finish is far from guaranteed!

Pulling on the front and still ends up winning the sprint đŠ”đȘ
I love it when a "sprinter's race" gets pulled apart and turns into in small group showdown at the end. Way to go Philipsen!
Excellent summary thanks
What a rinder!
De Moeren, where all trees are slightly bend in the same direction.
Congratulations, Pilipson! Surviving that selection process was impressive.
Philipsen didn't 'survive' the selection process, he executed it. In literally every passage through De Moeren.
woo hoo!! love these short highlights!
Very awkward situation for Quickstep. They had a man in the leading group that wasn't likely to win so no other team behind worked properly to catch the break and give Jakobsen a 'free' win.
Should Lampaert have fallen back or disrupted more?
Only seen these highlights but QS missed a trick if Lampaert wasnât sitting on the last 10km
Its not obvious from these highlights, but it was Lampaert who started the move that lead to that final selection. Should have aborted it the moment Philipsen got his wheel imo
Philipsen leading in front and dropping sprinters still manages to win.. what a steel legs
Great ride by Philipsen, well deserved!
Lampaert's decisions were a bit questionable though. Countering after Frison attacked, surely that should've been the move, rather than sprinting against Philipsen and Kooij.
A race for the hard men.
Beer kegs for prizes FTW!! :)

jakobsen was pissed after that
another week, another bianchi goes splat.
The Jumbo rider looks to have been in the wrong gear there
Cav doesn't finish today, lot of guys didn't. BUT, if he isn't in the mix at Ghent should he hang up the wheels? He was dropped with 40k to go at MSR, things don't look good - in any sense, for the marriage of Astana and Cav.
Looks like the end of the road.
Early season, he is peaking for the Tour. Any other race don't matter for him this year.
@@oldtwinsna8347 you're being facetious, right?
No mention of Cavendish when reeling off the list of the world's best sprinters .?
Despite just showing him at the start ?
What a joke
'World's best sprinter' has gotten a third, an eighth and a ninth place in 22 days of racing this year. He also got a subliminal DNF today. I can't believe they forgot him.
Surprised he wasnt shouting at the helicopters when he got dropped. Probably shouted at his mechanic after the race though
@@DJM9678 yep I agree he's a wally at times
