    Love this video. Wish we were closer, then I could intern with you to learn. Love conifers but zone 5 with wind that desiccates most Japanese Maples. Thank you.

      zone 4b checking in. sugar maples and Korean hybrids are what we have over here. the hybrids i see around are doing well. i’m surprised.
      check them out.

    Why do the Mugo pines and so many others have to be grafted onto another pine? If it similar to walnuts? I guess that means they could not grow as a seedling?

      Hi Tina, Sorry for the delay! Somehow we missed your comment. Many dwarf conifers are the result of a bud mutation or a witch's broom, and then are grafted onto root stock, and are not able to be reproduced via seed.       So sorry for the delay - for some reason we missed your comment! Are you asking if you could keep that plant indoors? If so, unfortunately that won't work for these plants. They are outdoors only. Or if you had another question just let us know!
