Sunder's fire pattern is very much recognizable to anyone that played Borderlands 2. Unkempt Harold, anyone? Talisman does have a niche in the element sharing gemini effect.
Scorching Rounds is insanely powerful if you dual-wield with Ao Bai. The rounds are considered fire and explosive so getting upgrades from the Detonation Ascensions and anything elemental from scrolls + weapon etchings make it extremely good. Its not as powerful as Demonlore by any means but its a great option.

Qing Yan's Hail of Bullets turns heavy ammo snipers and launchers into absolute powerhouses. Having four to six shots from a Tiger Cannon or Deafening Mortar turns the first two acts into complete jokes, excluding most bosses. Plus, Preemptive Strike just pulls it all together. Builds like that are one reason I main him, even with the shield-regen scrolls being a kick to the gut every time.
As well with wild hunt getting 7 shots off rapid fire is powerful. Combine that with the normal inscription 80% on first shot and it's dealing nice damage
Fairly new player here. Was shocked to see Big Hippo ranked so low. When I get my dual big hippo build build going on the dog it's carried me through two difficulties. Hoping it doesn't let me down on higher ones lol
I gotta admit, I disagree with Talisman being a D-tier, since you can get inscription with it having 2 elemental damage, so you can have it with corrosive + lightning/fire. Also it searches targets, so you don't have to be fully accurate. And then you can also have it shoot several with one click which is perfect for bosses or a massive wave of enemies. You also don't have to recharge it, which is great, since that leads to it being ready with more dps.
just to note with the strike wing, it becomes very op with 2 of them and crit x gemini, I was able to 1 shot each phase of the final boss with it on R7

Wild Hunt in correct situation become SS++ What you need is finding scroll that allow you keep shooting when you out of ammo but cost health. And you counter that with converting shield to health + health regen on getting hit. Also if you get scroll that make you crit all the time when you get it amazing. Because when you shoot and hit yourself it consider you get hit so it just amazing to trigger getting hit scrolls. By doing that you can keep shooting without actually using any ammo plus keep getting get hit benefits. Also if you get scroll that double the damage you get put prevent you to get more than 14% now you wont die instantly as well. Also get scroll that increase your health and damage you receive plus make you get hp when you deal damage. Also if you get scroll that increase your damage the less ammo you left up to 75% well that just free 75% damage right there because you always gonna be 0 ammo 12:03 Joke on you my mouse have a second left click button that when hold spam the shit out of left click XD I use that to use weapons that you need constantly keep clicking. Also that how i handle wild hunt. Dps become crazy just because my auto click button is way better than me trying to click like crazy XD 14:30 sometimes you want a weapon that actually reload constantly. That times that rocker launcher just amazing
I found a talisman with both fire & corrosion orb on crit. That was a quick playthrough! Especially when I etched a gemini crit share with the 5x crit bow. Also love wielding the fire sword, etched with gemini elemental dmg share, paired with talisman, or lightning sword which is often 50% lightning proc. Big damage! Also the Aura of Venom is absolutely broken with crit share gemini, with the 5x crit bow, plus crit orbs if you're lucky to find that also. Just right click the crit spot and melt bosses in seconds.
seems like you've moved on from gunfire but your videos on it are great and super useful. it'd be nice to have some updated guides/videos if you were down to make them, but no pressure. i know how it is to have people asking you to go back to a game you've lost interest in lmao
Icy spear seemed ridiculously broken. I started playing less than a week ago, couldn't even make it to the 2nd boss but the moment I got icy spears, I got there and it was a breeze. Got it done in first try! But then I died in the 3rd zone's challenge rift... Did another run with them though and made it to the 3rd boss but died there...
Ice spear stil deserves an A compared to the S weapons... It just dosent entirely make the cut in my opinion. Strike wing though... my personal favourate weapon
I remember the old Angelic Aura. When it was burst-fire. You could cancel your burst by another burst when changing burst types. Was even more busted :)
Lol talisman is my favourite weapon connected with the strike wing so they share the critical and -50% stability so i usually stick around at 6.0 critical up to 7.2 critical with the talisman depending on what you get thru the game
Dual wield illusions on doggo is absolute insanity mix that with his double consumption of ammo for 100% extra damage and his ability to regen ammo and on top of that he has a skill when fully maxed make him consume no ammo negating the negative effect of the first skill and its absolutely bonkers
The most OP weapon is a thunderbolt gauntlet with the legendary 3m AoE inscription. Get one of those babies with a Dual Fang and element sharing gemini (so you have all 3 elements) and get the gauntlet up to enhancement lv 12 or so by the time you hit the 3rd region, and you'll be MELTING normal enemies as they spawn. You'll literally just see money and resources spewing from the spawn point as the normal enemies die before they can exit their spawn point (if you target spawn locations right when you enter the room). The thing will easily carry you through the rest of the game. All you need is something that provides (virtually, if not literally) infinite mag size (against the flow, depot, and/or deft hands).
Bunny makes gloves busted, fire glove for extra HP damage, got one to drop with 200% lucky shot chance, add all she can do to fast firing weapons and having infinite ammo that also buffs the damage as a character perk... I one burst final boss, and so far haven't got anything that is as near as fire glove on a bunny in terms of DPS
Wholeheartedly disagree with the big hippo decision when you put it there mainly bc of a speed debuff? Gun packs an unreal amount of damage with the right build. Shines really nicely in multi-player if others are running elemental
The blue bow is decent. I’d put it A at best. The dps isn’t high enough and bows are real finicky on headshots. I’d only put it A because it’s great to put the crit Gemini inscription on for more crit damage on your main gun.
Shark with elemental inscription is also quite nice, it can carry you even in Yokul, but it just gets outclassed by other things most of the times you see it
what I've learned by playing 800+ hours almost every gun is insanely good with the right build and scrolls, no offense but I wholeheartedly disagree with your tier list.
Did I say something else? I only said that some guns are generally more useable on their own without the right build. And some are very easily abusable like the demonlore, while a Sting for example is best on lei luo, which is a lot more specific.

Honestly this list is good it just doesn't account for support weapons like the glimmering in the first 5 runs of the game with cat the bubble while holding the glimmering Then swap to something with insane damage and i was doing like 30-40k with a +3 shrieker on floor 2 with the right rng Edit: i did not have the scroll that doubles your damage after using your bubble
about wild hunt....i would say with right combo it change into smashing mouse button...for combo find Big hippo&wild hunt with gemini inscription that link both magazine and scroll "Against the Flow" and vio la infinite firing as long you manage to hit enemies cause recoil of that shotgun can pushing your crosshair into the air.....So all you had to do was smashing that damm button and drag back the mouse...
Had a reincarnation run with bunny earlier today and had an Angelic Aura with 2177 rounds/100s and corrosion from the elemental share gemini, that, combined with the ascensions that boost my rof, dmg etc as I use ammo and a few scrolls and such to give me back ammo on damage it was safe to say everything died really quickly. Only downside was my frames tanking when I nuked too many enemies at once and a broken wrist from recoil. Love that weapon so much.
i had a pretty nuts Bunny run involving Fatal Blossom and a Lightning Glove. The Glove itself had the stacking RoF and Lucky on Crit as well as Lucky for consuming ammo and I got my hands on the -8 Hit Count and Swords Mastery Blessing, maxed out Fatal Blossom Base Damage Ascension as well as Fish or Bear Paw. To solve the Max Ammo issue, I used the Ammo share Gemini for more RoF as well as got a Skateboarder to reload my massive 220+ clip size. Put together with some of the On Summon Sword Ascensions, RoF Asc, Fatal Blossom spawning 16 swords per use and the ability to indefinitely spam 8 stack Swords Out since I'd recharge it before it cooldown even with 7 kills Field Proficiency, let's just say the result was uh.... every damage tick of the Lightning Glove, activated a 60-90k average Fatal Blossom proc, which was also AoE since the Glove chains other targets. It does easily break 6 digits depending on how many swords I spammed, but not many things other than the Last Boss lasted long enough to stack it on a Solo run when even a tap click would instantly delete a pack
Bro I had a laser gauntlet that dealt 20k per shot on the kitty boss in team mode, around 500k dps according to the whole fight duration, also infinite ammo with bird dude and life steal augment... I was playing a wall against the boss and it worked shocking.
This is a general overview of the weapons. Lei Luo has synergies for some weapons, so that changes the list quite a bit. You can search on YT for a lei luo tier list if you want. Bloody drill can be strong, but I think it's better for bosses/elites than normal enemies. So that's why I ranked it lower in a general overview.
Wait, Thunderclap Glove is good? Every time i've tried to use it, i've gotten my ass pounded into the dirt. I've never been able to make it do enough damage to make it worth while, even while using the Cat!
Im 200 Hours into this game, 70% single player 30 % 2.man. Your list is great, I only have 2 things I disagree a bit with. 1. You rank Melee weapons a bit high, sure they are good at stomping things but exposing yourself against though opponents can be quite dangerous I would lower them all by 1 tier. Also they interact quite bad with some bosses. 2. Bonedragon in multiplayer, I say it way more helpful than hurtful for one teammate to "gather up and AoE" enemies. High B-tier is still a fine rating for it. Great list, keep it up!
Well, there's like 4 other people in the comments saying it's one of the worst weapons. But they recently buffed it, so I assume it's one tier higher now.
Last time I used the dog with double illussion and inifinite ammo, no ammo consume on kill, walk you get ammo: I just had to aim in the direction of the boss and things start to die.
Anyways, the strongest weapon in the game is the brids secondary ability, it can deal over 500k dps and it has a HUGE AoE, pretty much one taps anything that gets near you
Been a while since I made the vid. Rankings are kinda dumb. I think it was pretty stong with the balls and stuff, but overall it's lacking a bit. It's not as OP out of the box as let's say demon lore. Maybe they also buffed it in an update, idk.
@@Dr-Pixel maybe, I am talking about the current one and I didn’t play the version this video is from but even out the box and throughout a whole run the thing almost always one shots on crits. Orbs are just an added bonus. End of the day it is just preference
I used illusion to get my first win. I dont have the scroll that you said, but I was using bird and I had almost no kick cooldown and extra damage after a kick.
Illusion is probably the strongest all around gun in the game. If I had only one gun I could play this game with for a month, that would be it. It doesn't give a #@@@ about shields, usually armor, and everything else. It has the most consistency and fewest flaws of any weapon IMO.
im kinda new to the game but the thunderclap gloves seem pretty bad to me you said the damage might seem low but from my experience it is just low and the AOE isn't that big of a deal, its range is small and the damage is even lower it also eats through your ammo stupidly fast the only thing i found it does well applying shock but other weapons do that while also doing more damage and not eating all your green ammo
Miasma is really strong, but even without miasma it has solid group dmg(if you can actually hit). That's just the difficulty of a general tier list. It depends so much on circumstances. It's a difficult weapon to rate.
The swords are much better when playing the bird. Whatever he's called. I main the fire tower on the bird and I always out DPS my friends. Even if I just constantly enhance the first one I find with crappy inscriptions. When paired with the bird, it's S tier for sure.
He said ball. Elemental balls are inscriptions you can get on some weapons and theyre usually very good at applying elemental effects rapidly. Dont watch this video if you want to learn though because its really outdated a lot has changed and even back then some of the takes here are hilariously bad.
hippo F tier due to speed decrease. in r8 itll get you killed. its not strong enough to say the trade off is fair. you shoulda played the game when the demonlore took 300 lobsters to unlock.
I wasn't making the list for r8 specifically, so big hippo is at least useable at lower difficulties. I don't think I got the game that early, but I had to kill 60 lobsters.
Star devourer is awesome for elemental damage, you can get a Gemini with a fire weapon and full corrosion with the prince and you just become a monster.

Do you even know how the gloves work compared to star devourer? 1) Devourer is a standard projectile weapon, so the bullet has to reach the enemy, Gloves are a hitscan weapon 2) Gloves hit the enemy *and all enemies around it* in a pretty large area, thus spreading miasma in a way that no other weapon really can by itself (barring the 8m elemental aoe inscription) 3) Gloves are an injector, so while the beam is up, it's considered a single attack, benefitting a lot more from some effects like Wait for good or Elemental Maestro. Oh, I forgot: lol.
I've heard, but I don't think the devs intended this. But they also didn't fix it. Still, I think this is more advanced stuff not every player would want to use.
Wild Hunt, C rank? Even without any build, it has incredibly quick fire and quick reload, more damage than Illusion, (btw Illusion RoF is slower, yes yes, much slower). With the Wild Hunt, you can destroy the final bear immediatly at the beginning of the DPS check even in highest difficulties. Moreover, you can improve this weapon with Gemini inscription "weapon I&II shared magazine, +25% RoF... and then, the Wild Hunt has te RoF of a submachine gun with the crazy power of a double barrel shotgun. Playing it with the bird and his "martial arts" ascension tree and you are completely broken.
It doesn't have fast reload. The reload is the only thing holding it back. That's why it's only a C without mag increases. Every weapon is great with the right stuff, and I tried rating stuff mostly on base stats.
i can concur with demonlore taking ages to unlock.. both me and some friends of mine all had it as a last unlock. why did they make it lobsters? why not fiddler crabs? why not Kappas?
also, just want to put this down here. switching weapons cancels the endlag of shooting, meaning if you have the bloody drill, and you shoot, switch weapons and switch back and you can shoot again almost instantly; little things like this are why i like gunfire

Super awesome video. It kinda sucks that so many of the tiers change depending on what character your playing. A shotguns kinda melt on bird. And you know snipers on the tiger
On the elemental gemini inscription. Is the effect chance on from the second weapon determined by the weapon your using or the one it comes from. Like, should I be looking for a secondary weapon with high effect chance? And damage from fire, is that determined by my main wepaon i'm shooting or is the proc based on the secondary weapon that has the effect if I am not using it?
if weapon one has 10% fire chance and weapon two 20% lightning chance, hitting with either of these weapons has a 10% and 20% chance to trigger elemental effect. So yes, a high percentage is useful.

So the perks from Ao Bai affect the scorching rounds explosions? I wasn't sure.

If you turn the cavalry to semi auto mode it just makes it fire faster but you have to tap it each time.

about wild hunt....i would say with right combo it change into smashing mouse button...for combo find Big hippo&wild hunt with gemini inscription that link both magazine and scroll "Against the Flow" and vio la infinite firing as long you manage to hit enemies cause recoil of that shotgun can pushing your crosshair into the air.....So all you had to do was smashing that damm button and drag back the mouse...
Had a reincarnation run with bunny earlier today and had an Angelic Aura with 2177 rounds/100s and corrosion from the elemental share gemini, that, combined with the ascensions that boost my rof, dmg etc as I use ammo and a few scrolls and such to give me back ammo on damage it was safe to say everything died really quickly. Only downside was my frames tanking when I nuked too many enemies at once and a broken wrist from recoil. Love that weapon so much.
Yeah, it fires crazy fast
i had a pretty nuts Bunny run involving Fatal Blossom and a Lightning Glove. The Glove itself had the stacking RoF and Lucky on Crit as well as Lucky for consuming ammo and I got my hands on the -8 Hit Count and Swords Mastery Blessing, maxed out Fatal Blossom Base Damage Ascension as well as Fish or Bear Paw. To solve the Max Ammo issue, I used the Ammo share Gemini for more RoF as well as got a Skateboarder to reload my massive 220+ clip size. Put together with some of the On Summon Sword Ascensions, RoF Asc, Fatal Blossom spawning 16 swords per use and the ability to indefinitely spam 8 stack Swords Out since I'd recharge it before it cooldown even with 7 kills Field Proficiency, let's just say the result was uh.... every damage tick of the Lightning Glove, activated a 60-90k average Fatal Blossom proc, which was also AoE since the Glove chains other targets. It does easily break 6 digits depending on how many swords I spammed, but not many things other than the Last Boss lasted long enough to stack it on a Solo run when even a tap click would instantly delete a pack
Bro I had a laser gauntlet that dealt 20k per shot on the kitty boss in team mode, around 500k dps according to the whole fight duration, also infinite ammo with bird dude and life steal augment... I was playing a wall against the boss and it worked shocking.
If you're running an elemental build on cat, Porcupine is really strong once you get the elemental gemini. Great video!
Dang, I was always under the impression that Bloody Drill was the best Lei Luo weapon. Should I be using these higher ranked ones?
This is a general overview of the weapons. Lei Luo has synergies for some weapons, so that changes the list quite a bit. You can search on YT for a lei luo tier list if you want. Bloody drill can be strong, but I think it's better for bosses/elites than normal enemies. So that's why I ranked it lower in a general overview.
Wait, Thunderclap Glove is good? Every time i've tried to use it, i've gotten my ass pounded into the dirt. I've never been able to make it do enough damage to make it worth while, even while using the Cat!

tau makes any weapon with any effect that goes away when reloading just busted against enemies at base in adition to extra mag size and reload speed
Im 200 Hours into this game, 70% single player 30 % 2.man.
Your list is great, I only have 2 things I disagree a bit with.
1. You rank Melee weapons a bit high, sure they are good at stomping things but exposing yourself against though opponents can be quite dangerous I would lower them all by 1 tier.
Also they interact quite bad with some bosses.
2. Bonedragon in multiplayer, I say it way more helpful than hurtful for one teammate to "gather up and AoE" enemies. High B-tier is still a fine rating for it.

Unless Sting has been buffed since this video came out I find it crazy he put it so low. It's carried so many of my r3+ runs in the last weeks.

Well, there's like 4 other people in the comments saying it's one of the worst weapons. But they recently buffed it, so I assume it's one tier higher now.
Your using porcupine wrong click both of its shoot buttons really fast and it can carry you through the run.
Last time I used the dog with double illussion and inifinite ammo, no ammo consume on kill, walk you get ammo: I just had to aim in the direction of the boss and things start to die.
With the new FOx character, porcupine is actually fricking insane XD

Anyways, the strongest weapon in the game is the brids secondary ability, it can deal over 500k dps and it has a HUGE AoE, pretty much one taps anything that gets near you
Putting sunder at c tier is nuts. I’d easily rank it as the second best gun under demon lore and I’d tie it with aura of venom
Been a while since I made the vid. Rankings are kinda dumb. I think it was pretty stong with the balls and stuff, but overall it's lacking a bit. It's not as OP out of the box as let's say demon lore. Maybe they also buffed it in an update, idk.
@@Dr-Pixel maybe, I am talking about the current one and I didn’t play the version this video is from but even out the box and throughout a whole run the thing almost always one shots on crits. Orbs are just an added bonus. End of the day it is just preference
I used illusion to get my first win. I dont have the scroll that you said, but I was using bird and I had almost no kick cooldown and extra damage after a kick.
It depends a lot on the characters, as I said.
Illusion is probably the strongest all around gun in the game. If I had only one gun I could play this game with for a month, that would be it. It doesn't give a #@@@ about shields, usually armor, and everything else. It has the most consistency and fewest flaws of any weapon IMO.
I use talisman because it looks cool, then it always tends to work out for me

My first week playing and I honestly thought Illusion was a hitscan rifle. I didn't know it was a shotgun at all because of the firerate xD
that thunder storm pistol is amazing for people that can't aim (me)
im kinda new to the game but the thunderclap gloves seem pretty bad to me
you said the damage might seem low but from my experience it is just low and the AOE isn't that big of a deal, its range is small and the damage is even lower it also eats through your ammo stupidly fast
the only thing i found it does well applying shock but other weapons do that while also doing more damage and not eating all your green ammo
Miasma is really strong, but even without miasma it has solid group dmg(if you can actually hit). That's just the difficulty of a general tier list. It depends so much on circumstances. It's a difficult weapon to rate.

I just had the most broken wild hunt ever and he is right more ammo makes the gun busted having 155 bullets in the mag breaks the gun

switch the cavalier from auto to semi it does much more damage at least an A

The swords are much better when playing the bird. Whatever he's called. I main the fire tower on the bird and I always out DPS my friends. Even if I just constantly enhance the first one I find with crappy inscriptions. When paired with the bird, it's S tier for sure.

He said ball. Elemental balls are inscriptions you can get on some weapons and theyre usually very good at applying elemental effects rapidly. Dont watch this video if you want to learn though because its really outdated a lot has changed and even back then some of the takes here are hilariously bad.
hippo F tier due to speed decrease. in r8 itll get you killed. its not strong enough to say the trade off is fair. you shoulda played the game when the demonlore took 300 lobsters to unlock.
I wasn't making the list for r8 specifically, so big hippo is at least useable at lower difficulties. I don't think I got the game that early, but I had to kill 60 lobsters.

Star devourer is awesome for elemental damage, you can get a Gemini with a fire weapon and full corrosion with the prince and you just become a monster.
True, but I think most lightning weapons are better at applying the lightning effect.

@garmonbozia What are you talking about? Do you even know how the gloves work compared to star devourer?
1) Devourer is a standard projectile weapon, so the bullet has to reach the enemy, Gloves are a hitscan weapon
2) Gloves hit the enemy *and all enemies around it* in a pretty large area, thus spreading miasma in a way that no other weapon really can by itself (barring the 8m elemental aoe inscription)
3) Gloves are an injector, so while the beam is up, it's considered a single attack, benefitting a lot more from some effects like Wait for good or Elemental Maestro.
Oh, I forgot: lol.

You can bypass bloody drill's slow attack speed by swapping weapon. You can shoot as fast as you can swap
I've heard, but I don't think the devs intended this. But they also didn't fix it. Still, I think this is more advanced stuff not every player would want to use.

Wild Hunt, C rank? Even without any build, it has incredibly quick fire and quick reload, more damage than Illusion, (btw Illusion RoF is slower, yes yes, much slower). With the Wild Hunt, you can destroy the final bear immediatly at the beginning of the DPS check even in highest difficulties. Moreover, you can improve this weapon with Gemini inscription "weapon I&II shared magazine, +25% RoF... and then, the Wild Hunt has te RoF of a submachine gun with the crazy power of a double barrel shotgun. Playing it with the bird and his "martial arts" ascension tree and you are completely broken.
It doesn't have fast reload. The reload is the only thing holding it back. That's why it's only a C without mag increases. Every weapon is great with the right stuff, and I tried rating stuff mostly on base stats.

It is a general overview of all weapons. So for a specific difficulty some weapons are better as you pointed out.
i can concur with demonlore taking ages to unlock..
both me and some friends of mine all had it as a last unlock. why did they make it lobsters? why not fiddler crabs? why not Kappas?
also, just want to put this down here.
switching weapons cancels the endlag of shooting, meaning if you have the bloody drill, and you shoot, switch weapons and switch back and you can shoot again almost instantly;
little things like this are why i like gunfire

I think I considered that in my DPS calculation. But it's kinda annoying to press both buttons all the time.
Super awesome video. It kinda sucks that so many of the tiers change depending on what character your playing. A shotguns kinda melt on bird. And you know snipers on the tiger
I know, that's why it's hard to do a general overview anyway. But I think that's part of playing the game to find synergies yourself.

On the elemental gemini inscription. Is the effect chance on from the second weapon determined by the weapon your using or the one it comes from. Like, should I be looking for a secondary weapon with high effect chance? And damage from fire, is that determined by my main wepaon i'm shooting or is the proc based on the secondary weapon that has the effect if I am not using it?
if weapon one has 10% fire chance and weapon two 20% lightning chance, hitting with either of these weapons has a 10% and 20% chance to trigger elemental effect. So yes, a high percentage is useful.
