Mr Hogg, greetings from England. Your the best Left Arm Wrist Spinner I have ever seen. I can never forget my favourite Cricket World Cup 2003 and the way you bowled, absolute class. Very rare to see. I'm a right handed leg spinner, have the top spinner and googly. But could never get the flipper. Here in the UK, as you know, leg spinners get a lot of turn, even early season. I just subscribed to your channel and look forward to more content. If your ever in the UK, would love to meet you and get some tips. I'm not as young as I used to be but always willing to learn. I always forget that I grew up learning how to play cricket in the same nets as cricketing royalty. Was a nice surprise to see the old Prendwick nets featured in this video.

I'm expat Canadian in Australia and love cricket, and back in 2001-2002 umpired Sydney Grade Cricket. I never played cricket in a team but used to practice trying to bowl left arm wrist spin in the nets. I remember a local club was doing batting practice and asked if I wanted to throw some down for their batsmen. First ball I throw down pitched outside off stump with massive turn and hit the top of leg stump. Everyone was blown away. Unfortunately it was a complete fluke...every single ball after that I couldn't even land it close enough for the batsmen to have a chance to even hit it ;)

Off spin does turn more than Hogg bowled it and also we have another variation which is a side arm bowl that Graeme swan bowled it skids on and stays low
Well yes leg spinner get more revs with the exception of Murali Hoggy - man he could get it to turn from a mile outside off stump at just about right angles

Hoggy, i am a Chinaman myself and I am not able to turn it a lot infact it just skids on but I like the fact that I am quicker in the air as compared to when i bowl Left arm orthodox spin.

It depends on your own skills. Remember highest wicket taker in both odis and tests is murali ......the finger spinner
He had the ball in his hand double the amount Warne did.
If Warne bowled 40 overs a day without suspension or injury he be into quadruple figures

I always wanted to know, have you ever bowled around the wicket in shorter forms of cricket. I noticed you did a bit in tests but not so much shorter forms. Have you got any clips on anything you bowled around the wicket.

I believe number you mentioned 2800 and 2000 are revs per minute not revs per second.

Hoggy, how can wristspinner increase accuracy? What do you mean by having "less variables with the wrist"? Does that mean if wristie makes his wrist consistent after years of bowling he'll become accurate as pros like yourself and Warnie?
It's because of the less spin in general that off spinners have more accuracy.
@@ARandomGuy24 no it's because they use only a small part of their wrist so less room of error
