Hamburg was in the 90s the NR1 underground scene of this art of music and "we called" it Hard Trance... 2phil4u Really?! -first of all this is Hard Trance, and secondly the UK was as big, if not bigger than Germany when it came to the underground dance scene (and that's not to mention Detroit, Chicago, or the Netherlands). Spiral Tribe, Aphex Twin, LFO, The Prodigy, Altern-8, Andy C, Paul Oakenfold, The Advent, Dave Clarke, Luke Slater, Krome & Time -all British.Don't get me wrong, I love Germany for the music and DJ's it has given us, but to describe it as 'the best' and 'most Innovative' is pure wrong.
Perhaps some countrys was better at say 89-91 but scene grew in germa and at 93 or 94 germany was the biggest part in techno ( call it hard trance or electro or what you want), so germany was not the earlyst part and not the beginning but in the years like 94 or 95 it was in superior (rave culture was so big in germany then) and for that most epic trac came from germany in this timeframe (gb just a joke here).
2phil4u No -it was still rocking here in '95. Sure that's when jungle/DnB hit the scene in a big way, but the club/dance scene never really wound down until the late 90's. Also the freeparty scene was was still huge in '95 (they were only made illegal in 1994). You Germans sure do like rewriting history.

Frechn, switzerland came to german clubs, because in france there was only high priced clubs, here we had a really big and really cool partyculture, of course there were also lot of drug victims.
D3cyTH3r the best acid / techno / hardtechno / trance / hardcore or whatever was produced in germany/netherlands/belgium in the early 90ies to mid 90ies (rob acid, mike ink, unit moebius, beverly hills 808303 just to name a few).. no doubt that it started in the UK in the late 80ies.. but mid 90ies... come on, for sure the continent was the epicentrum at this point, but it doesn't matter anyway ;) free party scene was huge too, the spirals "touring" through europe :) the uk had jungle and the "UK acid techno" chris liberator sound.. and no, I am not a german.

RAVE TRAP i don´t listen to trance, i don´t like it...but this is hard trance that is different from trance, maybe you confuse something... i listen to hard trance since i´ve been a kid and thats a long time...
