I'm glad Challenge got dropped to a 15. Being a 16 is debatable but 15 still sounds reasonable. Kinda off topic but if you look at an Expert 13/Challenge 15 situation, Xepher is one of them. The jump from Expert to Challenge on that song isn't as much as Flower. Therefore, I believe Xepher Challenge should be dropped to a 14.
***** I agree, FLOWER Challenge is definitely a 15, the steps are as straight-forward as an ITG custom file. Sure it does get quite a bit of 16ths toward the end, but none of the 16ths are candle steps and are in short bursts. If they put candle steps and trickier patterns it could be a 16. I think all those people who saw the chart 3 years ago decided this should be a 16 simply from the shock factor that arose from the number of yellow arrows it had. As for EXP13/CHA15, Amalgamation, Cosmic Hurricane and Straight Oath come to mind too. Xepher's Challenge chart is indeed heavily based off the Expert steps, and is not too much more difficult. It being a 15 is really borderline, although if dropped to 14, it would be considered a very tough one at that. After stuff from DDR 2013, I accepted Xepher Challenge or ZETA Expert as the minimum 15.

It's even worse than that. 15 footers range from starmine and Romancing Layer Expert to roppongi EVOLVED ver.D and PARANOIA survivor MAX Expert, and those groups are on completely different dimensions. To this day we still all have a different idea of where the 14/15 and 15/16 boundaries are. Then again, 18 footer Challenge charts also range from Healing D-Vision and NGO to the likes of IX and TRIP MACHINE EVOLUTION... it's like you can't rely on foot ratings anymore.
Scarf Scarf Yeah I also think it's noticeably easier than MAX 300. The rhythm is slightly tricky but I didn't see any candle steps. To me this challenge chart makes MAX 300 look hard, especially on DDR X3 haha

Possession, Trip Machine Evo, IX, and even Paranoia Revolution are like 18.5 when you compare them to Healing D Vision, LOM x-special, and Trigger.

It is now, however when it was first released in X3, it was a 17. It got downgraded in DDR 2013.
