Thanks for this joyous video! I had two springer brothers and lost them last year and the year before. One was 15 and the other 16 when they passed, so I had many wonderful times with them and miss them so so much. Springers really are fantastic dogs, so loyal and loving and such fun XX
I'm biased but they really are the best breed bar none ! Mine is almost 12 now and slowing down, going to miss him so much when its his time. Been an absolute pleasure having him they bring so much happiness

Thanks carl, I'm not too bad, it's been coming, I had her at the vets twice but the problem with nasal tumours are when you see the nose bleeding the tumour is at a advantaged stage, she went down hill this week, the blood got heavier and thicker from her nose, when the dust settles I'll look at getting another springer, I hope your spaniel lives for years yet
@MARK KNIGHT our family dog had the same type of cancer she lived to a good age but had the same issues as yours. I'm hoping i still have a yr or two yet with mine hes got a decent size lump on lower belly but im leaving it hes happy still happy on life. I wont get another hes been a huge part of my life

Awww x x Springers are the best they never grow up and are always just as daft as when they are small. Going to be getting quiet here soon as my puppys are heading to their new homes.
Mine just passed away yesterday at the age of 12...she was a great dog, she never chewed our furniture LOL..i would get another one in the future..i'm still in pain of losing her, my house looks so empty and quite without her :(
I've never seen any that didn't have their tails docked before. Their tails are so long. I plan on breeding my springers and don't plan on getting the puppies tails docked unless people specifically request it.
Getting tails and dew claws removed is now very very difficult, only certain vets are licensed to do it and you need specific documentation to allow it. I understand why Springers who are going to become full working springers hve this done as springer tails are always wagging and can be hurt. Good luck on future litters its so rewarding to have pups and also a lot of hard work.
@@wixybelle1048 I'm in the states, and I think the practice is still more common here. I'm sure dew claw removal is still done for most breeds. This breed it's pretty standard to dock the tails, but happily it isn't even suggested by the akc anymore, and show dogs are not required to have their tails docked for shows anymore. I kind of hope the practice dies out here too. Both my springers have their tails docked. The breeders just had it done, and we didn't get a choice. I don't really believe in the practice, but I won't judge others who want it done I suppose. I will say it's been convenient on my intact female to have her tail docked, because it's a lot easier to put her in a diaper during her heats without having to worry about getting her tail through a hole. But that's the only real benefit I can even see for it. And while it is pretty cute how fast they wag their tails because they're so short, I just don't think it's worth putting them through the pain to have them removed.
