- Trying not to feed raccoons on my property is darn near impossible for me. Every now and then, I give in and toss out yummy food for them. This, of course, isn't helpful while trying to transition the raccoons to eating in the park woods. They have a strong memory of good food locations.
It sure is nice seeing some of my old gang showing up at the doorway.

The raccoons are no longer so easy to drive away; they have been where they feel comfortable for too long.Last year, a male also appeared at Mr. Blackwood's and keeps disappearing for a while. Perhaps Weiner will show up at some point too.

Great to see sneaky Oons on the Patio again, and big golden-orange Hefeweizen who I've never seen before; what lovely golden-orange fur he has! You should totally get a pet bed (sized for a small or medium dog), put it on the Patio, leave it there and see if an Oon claims and uses it, even during the day. If the snobby Karens ask, just tell them it's for a 'respectable' pet like a dog or cat... but we'll know who it's really for. (You do have 'dogs' of a sort; they're just semi-domestic and look kinda funny!) 🤣🤣🤣
I've done some videos using a pet bed. I hid treats in between the cushions and watched them climb on and dig. I think a tossed it in the raccoon tunnel for them.
