I get it - sometimes it’s hard to not lose it after dealing with the same kids day after day. But once a teacher starts yelling, they’ve lost control and the kids know it. And once they know the adult in the room has lost control they will continue to push it and push it and push it. Never let them see you lose it.
As a teacher myself we know how disrespectful.students can get but as a teacher the worst thing to do is lose your cool and yell at them, it just makes the kids disrespect you even more
@@GuentherVanRaven - been married to a teacher for twenty years. I have a pretty good idea of what they go through every day. I stand by my original statement.
Oh My God! That was absolutely the funniest of all at 3:20. "Stop talking to me. Tell your Daddy to come talk to me." My Daddy dead. "Well go dig him up and tell'em to come talk to me!" That was one in a million funny right there.
As a teacher myself, if you lose your cool its over. The last thing students want is to be shouted at and preached to. (it will only serve to make you, the teacher, the butt end of many jokes and you won't live down that reputation easily.) It will get you nowhere as a teacher. Fear and intimidation never works, they're not motivators. You need to be able to read the room and relate to the students feelings on that particular day. Some days are different than others. They're not robots, they're humans.
I completely agree. As a teacher, I'd be lying if I said I've never lost my temper because I definitely have. Losing your temper on the students makes you feel awful. It makes the students feel awful. If they don't feel awful, they will just see you as a crazy person who is meant to be treated like a joke. It doesn't help anything. Especially in the 1st year, it takes a while to figure this out. I'm about to start my second year. My goal is to do way better with classroom management and effective instruction.
It's not the teachers' faults for what happens. It's the kids' faults. They just need to learn to grow up and have respect. Not just for the teachers. But for everyone around them who actually want to learn something.
Sometimes teachers are in the wrong for exploding for no reason, but sometimes the students are in the wrong for provoking. Either way, respect must go both ways.
I agree! I honestly hate school thought. My teachers I had were lazy, retarded, condescending, mean, ignorant, obnoxious, passive aggressive etc. I didn't have a good experience at school. Even most of my friends were bullshit!
The kids act out because the school system is ass and then the teachers lose their minds because the kids act out, then it starts an infinite loop. All goes back to the school and the way it's run. Public schools are prisons man, as a naturally outspoken and rebellious person, it was not a good experience, the flashbacks are strong rn. I'm sure others can relate.
I feel so bad for these teachers. They are miss treated, disrespected, underpaid. They have to deal with rude, disrespectful students everyday and get nothing that can make up for it! I was walking out of my school and saw my teacher crying from students in my class. Thats why u thank them and give them something to say thank you for at the end of each year.
I get both sides…. I hated being in a cold ass building for 8 hours each day. It was irritating but I knew I needed it to get where I was going. On the other hand, I get having to deal with kids for 8 hours each day. Then having the stay longer to prepare shit. It’s irritating on both ends and I think if teachers tried to create a culture where, “we have to be here all damn day… let’s work together to get through the day” I think it would be better. I loved those teachers that tried to at least have a relationship with their students and helped them understand why their class was needed in our lives. But hey 🤷🏽♂️🤷🏽♂️

Boot camp is their next venture before they even think about graduating. Back in the 1970's, when I was little, my private school teachers were the queens of corporal punishment.
